Avoid. Tasteless soup, tough chicken and salty noodles. Aggressively rude staff interrupted me ordering with another staff member, hurrying us to order. Food arrived staggered over 15 mins, soup arrived last... inedible. Had to go get own glasses, serviettes, cutlery after food arrived. To the owner, get on spell check before you post replies...its not soya sauce. AVOID.
I usually love ramen, however I have gotten a few meals from ramen douglas that have been completely off. My last one was a ren dang curry and it was like a soup. A fork wouldn't do for this meal. I tried making it work by adding rice but there was no hope. So I politely returned it to the counter explaining that "I am so sorry but I can't eat this" and was met by this really undermining manager not sure name or anything but small female. She was incredibly rude and made me out like I was a huge problem and how "I could have at least brought the food up to her" so I went down to get the bowl and she stomped down behind me huffing whipped it off the table and stormed back. People like this with absolutely no people skills and who do not like or want to work with people should just find different employment. Because I'm sick and tired of it. I'd advise someone above to review her, because I seen the kind staff waitresses unhappy and awkward by her behaviour too.
We arrived at Ramen Douglas and made our order at 8:20, our food arrived and then at 8:50 a server arrived to tell us they were closing at 9, our meals not even half finished. There was no mention during when we entered and asked for a table or when we ordered that the restaurant would be closing at a set time. Immediately after the waiter spoke to us regarding the restaurant closing, the music turned off and the “owner/manager” arrived and was talking to the server, unbeknown to her us and the other tables in the restaurant could hear every word - Speaking of paying customers being so slow and telling customers to “hurry up” after receiving our food 15-20 minutes prior. The “owner/manager” abruptly arrived arrived at 9pm to tell us we had to leave immediately as they weren’t insured to have customers in past 9. We attempted to discuss why this was not explained to us when ordering not even 30 minutes before the server came to tell us they were closing, the owner stormed off in a huff. We packed our entire meals into take away containers and proceeded to leave, when the “owner/manager” pushed us out the door and expelled that we were “the most ignorant customers we have had in a long time”. Before the door got slammed in my face, I attempted to explain that people just like us were travelling from afar to visit this restaurant and experience some good Asian cuisine and expect a bare minimum or hospitality, however, like I said, the door was slammed in my face : Anyway the “owner/manager” in quotations because that is embarrassing should find another career and stop putting young impressionable people under her order. Embarrassing, disappointing.
We had the most unpleasant food of our lives in Ramen, Douglas where the staff was really unwelcoming, always occupied so much so that we had to go upto the till to ask for forks and napkins after our food arrived. The food was horrendous at best with lots and lots of soy sauce I know certain dishes have more soy sauce than others, but ours was floating in soy sauce and the entire dish was bitter Would recommend everyone to find a better Ramen shop!
Spring rolls was good but everything else was very bad. Yakisoba was very salty and the tofu was burned which made the food taste bitter. The costumer service was also really bad. Not recommended!
This is the worst of the Ramen restaurant, I've tried many and I usually get it from Anglesea St Ramen but I thought of trying Douglas again as I had a bad experience with them already a year ago. Staff is quite rude and make you rush the order.... We ordered 5 different dishes and they messed everything up. What was supposed to be extra mild, it was spicy and the 2 regular dishes we ordered, cameout as "Fury" - never asked for Fury but I believe the lady assumed that if the other 3 dishes were mild, the other two should have been Fury........ Food quality is horrible, way different from Anglesea Street. Some dishes with chicken has only few pieces of it and too much rice. I got a regular Ramen Fried Rice not Fury for myself but they made it Fury for whatever reason and it was uneatable, I'd never throw anything but I couldn't eat it. Never returning here again and Ramen should really think about improving this restaurant. Two bad experiences in a year means it's not improving.
Your noodles have no match. You make the best food around and healthy, too! I totally recommend Pad Thai and Udon Noodles to everyone
Generally excellent food quality but the delivery service is poor. The food almost never arrives on time. Waited 2 hours tonight despite ordering before 6pm. Almost guaranteed that a child's juice will be left out of the order. Once again, I wasn't disappointed on that score tonight.Will be trying a similar local restaurant mentioned in other reviews here the next time.

black bean and the noodles as well so salty its actually unedible. also got pork instead of chicken for some reason... Excuse me?? salt or soy sauce, whatever was used IT WAS too salty, if you'd have tasted it you would know but it was unfortunately me. Chicken on my receipt was crossed out by probably the person who made the food, but noone informed me there's no chicken.
