I was craving something spicy, and I’m glad I stumbled upon this cozy little restaurant—it hit the spot! The food was good overall, though the gyoza tasted store-bought and is deep-fried rather than the usual steam-fried style. Despite that, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service from all the staff was excellent. One thing to note: they only accept cards. Definitely worth a visit for a ramen fix!
What a great find on our short stop over in Glasgow. My son's a rather fussy one at the best of times so I was all to happy he was also up for trying Ramen Dayo. Great looking restaurant with heaps of charm and character. Service was fantastic and very helpful navigating us and my fussy son through the menu. Prices were on point, food looked and tasted fantastic. I would highly recommend this place. Kid-friendliness: Even managed to feed my fussy son. So that in itself was a 5
The experience was better than I expected. The chicken karaage we had as a side was perfect. I would say it's one of the best ramen in Glasgow. The spiciest ramen is not recommended, and the devils ramen concurs. The salad is also of high quality. The drink was satisfactory, but not exceptional. The atmosphere is excellent, and the small table in the corner creates an ambiance.
The service here is excellent. The place is very charming, with furniture and decorations that create a cozy atmosphere. There are a few tables outside, but I prefer sitting inside. The menu has many vegetarian options. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help with any request. Highly recommended!
Firstly, ramen is so delicious. I visited most of ramen places in Glasgow and Edinburgh, the noodles and soups are best. I loved Devil noodles. That was so deliciously spicy. I strongly recommend you add EGG. Moreover, Japanese style vibe was very interesting. However, Chicken karaage is bit hard and takoyaki… please serve in more bigger plate. Katsuobushi spilled everywhere and gingers sticked on my takoyaki and taste bad. Lastly, I don't think the hall's staff are being managed well. I arrived there in a good mood and waited to take my order, but I didn't feel good even before the meal because the staff didn't come to take my order after a long wait.
My first time reviewing as I’ve had an amazing Lunch at Ramen Dayo in Ashton Lane. I’ve tried numerous Japanese Restaurants in Glasgow as a tourist, but nothing compares to sizing portions and taste of their Ramens. Will be back again! Food: 5/5
I’ve been to others in the chain and this one has the same atmosphere, small space but it adds to the vibe. Staff were friendly but inattentive, which I could understand if it were busy but it wasn’t. Food was delicious though! Such a great selection of ramen options and the katsu which I had is more on the sweet side than spicy. Still very good and would return
The staff weren't really welcoming and friendly. I didn't feel comfortable the way they behaved. It's a very aesthetic place, food was okay there's not much vegetarian and fish options available but the staff were disappointing. Was afraid to talk to themFood: 3/5
Restaurant is super cute and the staff were lovely helped me and my friends with any issues, the ramen was absolutely delicious and the soup it was in was amazing it was spicy at the start but the more I ate it was rich and good qualityFood: 5/5
Great little restaurant in Ashton lane. We went in about half one and their was one other table occupied. Within 30 minutes the place looked full. The music and atmosphere are great and made me want to hang out for longer. One person serving which was fine when we went in but as it got busier was harder to attract attention. Don’t let that put you off great find for me and I’ll be back for sure. The fries were spicy in first taste but the heat didn’t ramp up. The spicy karage don didn’t feel spicy but perhaps my taste buds had given up by then. The dishes were fabulous and deceiving filling. Homemade lemonade and ginger beer were spot on. Highly recommended
