We loved our visit here for dinner. Good food and friendly, helpful staff. It’s doggy friendly too which is always a bonus! Fish and chips was amazing and my son said his burger was the best he’d ever had!! Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding too! Lots of veggie and vegan options
Fabulous pub and great Sunday lunch venue after a circular walk in round the local area. Dog friendly and walking boot friendly they even have a supply of dog blankets and biscuits!. Food was lovely. Recommend the roast dinners. Great attentive service too.
Haven’t been for years but will definitely be back. One of our party was a vegan and the vegan choices were unlike anywhere I know around Guildford. A fantastic selection of local real and craft ales, and some local gins too. I was designated driver so appreciated the high quality alcohol-free pale ale. I almost didn’t miss the alcohol. We took a dog and they were clearly more than friendly, real dog lovers, with help-yourself treats, poo bags and clean water bowls.
one of the best pub meals we’ve had in ages. friendly staff, great selection of food and drinks on offer. big kids play area at back, what more could you ask for? highly recommend the Hogs Back larger, so refreshing! will be back for sure.
We had an absolutely delicious Sunday roast here today, I would definitely recommend The Cyder House Inn. I am glad we booked as it was very busy but despite this, the staff were attentive and friendly. Clearly a popular place! We loved the real fire, the dog-friendliness and the atmosphere. The food was excellent; we both had the roast.
I had a rather excellent Sunday lunch here. Food was fantastic and all of our tables mains were fantastic and cooked to perfection. I'm very impressed with how tender and well cooked the meat dishes were. Deserts for me didn't hit the heights of the mains. I prefer apples in a crumble being cooked more... probably a personal preference but overall I'd like to sample more of the menu! Recommended.
This was my first visit to this pub. It is a little off the beaten path, and in summer, it would be glorious. In the winter, the pub is warmed by a lovely open fire It is a destination for dog owners, and when we visited, there were several in the pub. In the car park, there was a pony and trap parked The interior is warm, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The menu has a good range of choices, including vegetarian options. My wife had a red mullet and pasta. I had a Croque Medame. Both were tasty and a good size. Would i visit again? Well, we are already planning to take the family there for Sunday lunch.
Quintessential country pub - quiet remote lane, cosy local feel inside, nice big pub garden, family and dog welcoming set up. We were a group of 12 and they managed us very well pre-ordered. Fantastic Sunday roast small point not to bury the potatoes, you lose the crunch Lovely afternoon
Probably the nicest roast dinner I've had in a long time and very friendly service! If you're looking for an ideal Sunday pub lunch in the area, THIS would be my choice.
Genuinely dog and child friendly. There is plenty of room for family groups not to feel on top of each other. The food is good and there are plenty of tasty vegan and vegetarian options. There is a secure garden and access to the village playground. What makes it really special, though, is the staff. Welcoming, friendly and helpful, they are outstanding. I really recommend this place!
