My partner and I have dined in before and was the food and service was top. We just ordered a takeaway and I ordered a jalfrazzi which was far too hot for me compares to previous experiences in different restaurants even after taking all the chillies out. I called up and advised them of this and they quickly sent out a less hot version instead! Amazing service and they told me to tell them which spice I would like in future and they will make to order.
I love my takeaways but this place has just dropped off the most amazing food I have ever had from round here. Thank you very much. Will only order from you from now on. Food coma time. Thank you again m
Not happy with the quality of the food here at all. The curry somehow had no flavour whatsoever and the sauce was 90% water, as it pooled at the bottom of my bowl leaving most of the rice inedible... and wet. Very wet. Sad sad sad : Naan bread was also pretty bad, even the Lidl microwave one was nicer. Was so looking forward to this tonight and so let down.
Amazing beautifully presented delicious food, family friendly, great quality but still reasonable price. Always leave feeling full and happy. Trying new dishes has only ever impressed so don’t just stick to old favourites - chef specials are good. Lovely staff go eat in and say hi.
After our usual 'go to' Indian takeaway went down hill, we thought we would try somewhere new. We stumbled across Raj. The food is sooo delicious and freshly cooked. Good size portions aswell, staff are friendly and welcoming. We went back a 2nd time just to see if was a just a fluke but it wasn't, the food was amazing the 2nd time round. This is now are 'go to' Indian takeaway.
Love the Raj, especially the Sunday banquet not a buffet - very good value. An update - the Raj is still the best Indian restaurant in Witney. Beautifully fresh prawn puri and onion bhajis, light and crispy. The lamb naga is fantastic!!! But not unless you're committed to the chili Great service and really friendly, good food advice, generous portions and good value. We've eaten here twice this week, had different food, and kept some for the next day too much just for dinner.
Unfortunately disappointing. Whilst staff were very nice and welcoming and I waited a while before taking my food home my fault as I was enjoying a glass of wine while waiting and chatting!, the food was rather bland and greasy when I eventually got home. It was my first visit so perhaps an unfair review - and if anyone from Raj is reading this, I'd probably not be welcome back. I would like to try it again if I'm able as I believe in giving everyone chances - perhaps it was a bad night?
I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. The food is so tasty and delicious and beats other restaurants hands down. I've eaten at many of the others including the Shaan but this is the best in my opinion. I've ordered lamb, beef and chicken dishes here.over time and The Raj just does them all justice. Thank you for the excellent food and service.
I ate in here over 3 years ago, I was disappointed at the time, i thought it was very bland and overpriced. Since then I have heard nothing but good things in the past 6 months and me and my mate thought we’d try it again. We went up to the door and no word of a lie they looked dead, there was nobody in there apart from the staff. We were very dubious, to say the least. But thank god we tried it! Seriously, it’s amazing, I will be back!
Very friendly service and beautifully prepared dishes. The naan was fluffy and freshly made. The saag paneer had the yummiest definitely homemade paneer. The curries were seasoned with care with tender chicken. The proprietor was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I'm allergic to garlic and they were able to make dishes I could eat. Best Indian meal of our trip, we really enjoyed it.
