Did I just have the best hot chocolate at a train station cafe?! yes! Such a cute coffee shop, almost makes you want to get the train here just for the cafe!
Well kept station with easy and close access to the town. Recommended trip out of Manchester.
Nice cafe on the station and a short walk into town, a good half hour service into Piccadilly when it works properly. Good place to come back to each season.

Lovely, clean and when sunny bright station. Friendly coffee shop. Can be very cold in winter though since the waiting room is closed. The barriers are a bit of a pain but and this REALLY winds up my friends, since I have a Greater Manchester bus pass I get here very cheaply; for a surcharge of £10 a year I get UNLIMITED TRAVEL off peak in Greater Manchester on tram and train - Glossop bus pass holders CAN'T. Oh dear me!
The staff are efficient and friendly, they give advice on what is the most cost effective route to take. The trains are regularly running and not very often delayed. There is a coffee shop and easy disabled access.
Slow old train carriages, very disengaged staff who just open the barriers and defeat the whole purpose of them being there. It does its job but Glossop desperately needs a better rail service.
What a treat so much stone …. Take a waterproof and head into the Peak District
A cute little traditional train station which my little boy loves! It is in the heart of glossop so the shops are right next to it, there is a ticket office, waiting rooms and friendly and helpful staff
Nice clean little train station with a coop and post office next door, on the weekends you get all the odd lot coming down from thills going into Manchester, most are nice but it's best not to look at them as they can nip you.
