1 of Scotland’s most historic cities. Follow a costumed guide through Stirling’s ancient, cobbled streets and gain insight into the city’s colorful past. Along the way, admire top city attractions including Stirling Castle and the Royal Burgh, and listen as a guide brings the city’s history to life. With a blend of comedy, drama and old-fashioned story-telling charm, learn what makes Stirling such a special place and hear the secrets that many visitors miss.
Did not have the privilege to stay long however my time time was splendid in nature. Take yourself to the top of the Waalace monument. You won't be disappointed.
I'm a big fan of rail travel, though the prices these days are absurd. But this is a review of the Stirling Train Station, not the train network. Anyway, there's a decent cafe here, the ticket office seemed - to me at least - like a friendly place if you need to buy a ticket, and the ticket machines themselves work well - I never saw one that didn't work. But most importantly for people like me, this is a station that still carries some of the romance of the old train network. It's kept clean and looks well-supervised by the station staff, but above all else it retains the charm and attractiveness of the stations of my youth and of my nostalgic dreams.
Stirling station is well laid out with good architecture
Nice and clean station with great staff and facilities. Ideal for both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Has a coffee shop and a WH Smith.
Trains from here run north to Perth and Aberdeen and south to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Enjoy a drink and snack at the coffee shop.
Nice and big scott rail station. The view itself from here is beautiful. Most of the tourist place are close to the station and you can hire a cycle or a cab just outside from it ti roam around
Scotland is a beautiful country and Stirling is an amazing place to visit. Took a train from Edinburgh and it was an easy place to find from the train station and a relatively easy uphill walk to the castle. Lots of great shops and places to eat. A great trip
Great place to visit for a long weekend plenty to explore and some fantastic historical sites to visit
We went to see Stirling Castle... took the train that landed in the center of the city it seemed. Very nice scenery on our walk to the castle and nice scenery brews of the city from the castle. We will be back to explore.
