Wasn't a massive fan of the vegan pizza. It didn't really taste of anything. I had been before and had one month's back which was amazing. Will wait until they change the menu before heading back. Also if you don't want "cola" and you want real coke it's £4 a pint which might well be the going rate.... Got me thinking I should be drinking beer for that price!

After finding somewhere to park on the nearby road on entering the pub on a Friday evening it was rather noisy since they had a live artist performing. She was a good singer but as I say it was rather noisy in the main eating are so we chose a small room at the back which was quieter and better for talking between ourselves. The menu is pretty simple and is pizzas and pasta type dishes aswell as a couple of other options. The pizza I ordered was delicious and one of the best tasting iv had with sweet peppers making it different to any other iv tried. It arrived very quickly but you do have to order yourself from the bar. It was enjoyable evening with speedy service and delicious food. There was a small choice of sweets which were about a fiver each. I will go there again for a quick bite or pizza

Quite a nice change from it's previous incarnation as a gastro pub, and glad it was saved from the threatened flat conversion. Nice rustic feel to the decor and menu. Still has a good selection of cask and 'craft' keg beers. Food menu a little limited, but tasty. When we were there (mid week evening), seemed to be a little understaffed with one person serving at the bar but also taking table orders. Good friendly staff, though.

Really good value pizzas, good beer. Latest incarnation of the Hitchin elite's local. Free music most Fridays. Don't do their chilli challenge. I did and have the T shirt but it took a while to recover.

Lovely little place, bigger than it appears. Amazing food and friendly staff. Definitely going to visit again!!
