Such a lovely well run farm! You can feed the animals, by paying 50p for a bag of food, and the animals are very eager to come to you! Our favourite bit was being able to hold the rabbits and guinea pigs, and the lady was so informative telling us all about them! It is a small farm, but you could easily spend hours here, we spent 2 hours and only left because our little girl needed a nap! There's lots of different animals to see, a big park to play on, and picnic benches if you wanted to bring your own lunch. However we used the cafe and the food was really really good! All freshly made to order, and reasonably priced!
Worth popping in if you're passing I did feel sorry for the pony tacked up and tied up in a shelter waiting around and unable to eat with his bit in for a child that wanted a ride. Other than that it was a lovely little farm to visit with some very cute animals
Great place for the younger child. Have been a few times and this time there seems to have been less petting of the guinea pigs and rabbits than on previous visits. Our granddaughter loved the goats and donkeys. They were very friendly. Nice little cafe too
Nice little animal park, main sections are the guinea pig and rabbit handling and the pony ride. Enclosures are of a good size. Could do with a bit of renovation and a few more animal additions but for the price admission £6.50 for adults and £6 for children. Pony ride £2.50. It was a good experience. Viewing time 2-4hrs depending on how long you want to view each animal. The food we had cheese panini was really good too. The children's play areas were of good quality too.
Fantastic little farm! We spent a good couple of hours here, our group had children the ages of 1,9 and 12 and they all throughly enjoyed the animals, being able to feed a wide variety of them, a pony ride as well as one-to-one time with the friendly rabbits! It is fairly priced and the cafe is great, the food served was hot, fresh and delicious. All the staff on the farm were very welcoming.
We have visited many farms before this one and for the price and experience I wouldn't visit the Rabbit Farm again anytime soon. It is a very small farm and I'm not quite sure how the price can be justified or how there are so many positive reviews. The park was the best part for our young children but £12 for 2 adults and even more for each child just to look at a small amount of animals and to play on a park did seem quite steep considering we could have visited a local park for free. We also had some concerns about the welfare of some of the animals. They have a cat on the farm that was trying to catch a guinea pig and it wasn't pleasant to watch it trying to escape. That guinea pig will not be there soon, let's just say that. The staff were made aware but are clearly too busy to deal with it properly. The cat shouldn't be there. Also, some of the cages for the Rabbits do seem quite small for their size but I am no expert on this... other reviewers have pointed this out too so I am not alone. Gift shops aren't the highlight of most peoples visits but I couldn't help but notice the prices here were unusually high, when compared to your already-high-priced standard gift shop, and I certainly wouldn't be forking out £4 for a toy not worth 50 pence even in Home Bargain. I do understand Gift shops often have high markups but I do feel as though the prices were ridiculously high here and given the high prices of entry I do not know why they feel the need to try and pocket unreasonable amounts on cheap gifts. Despite my seemingly gloomy review, it wasn't awful, it was OK! Our kids enjoyed it and that's most important. We often come back to places we visit so perhaps in the future we'll come back and see how things have changed.
First time there and will be back. We loved being able to cuddle the rabbits and enjoyed feeding the other animals, too. Cafe was lovely and we all enjoyed our food.
I found this place by accident while staying at a haven site. Would recommend to all. I loved holding the rabbits and guinea pigs. I also loved the goat who followed me around. Great for kids and not expensive.
All the family enjoyed their visit, especially the chance to stroke the rabbits and have a pony ride. The playground was great and the cafe served delicious food. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, there was only a few animals, pigs, baby cows, goats, 2 donkeys 1horse and alpacas I thought there maybe cows, sheep/lambs but weren’t much we was literally there not even an hour, my kids did enjoy the pony ride and holding the rabbits for 2.50 and also they charge us for my 1 year old, when I thought under 2s where free? Great little farm for a quick visit but not a full day
