We've had takeaway and eaten in the restaurant, and always loved it. Eating in is a particular delight - the staff are warm and friendly, and the boss/owner ? talked to us for a while about how they make their food, why they have particular dishes on the menu. Basically, he's making food the way his mum used to make it when he was growing up! It's very tasty, with good sized portions. I disagree with the previous reviewer about the prices, I think they're broadly in line with other Indian restaurants in the area. Or, to put it another way, if Raaz is 50% more expensive than other places that you're eating in, you might want to think closely about the quality of their food! Takeaway can be a bit hit and miss - it's far easier and quicker to go collect. Occasionally, on Saturdays particularly, we've been advised of long waits. But if you collect, the food is ready in perfectly reasonable time. No problems with giving a 5-star review - we'll definitely be going back.
Delivery was on time and well presented in fancy plastic tubs with a large cardboard box. Food fresh and cooked well. However I think the strength of the dishes we had were hotter than the norm from other restaurants. Not a bad thing if that's what you like but some people only want medium heat and even the bhuna was hot. But the real problem here is the price, nearly 50% dearer than other takeaways in the area, for example a King Prawn Balti/Aloo/keema nan/pilau rice here is £20.16 whereby another local one only costs £14.50 and is just as good. Might use occasionally but can't afford every week.
