I just moved into the area and I am delighted to find this fascinating shop. Warm and expert staff, incredible range of stock and well set out. I recommend it heartily. UPDATE Feb 2018 once again just received excellent service from Yates staff whilst purchasing my yearly 6X fertilizer for the garden. Many thanks.

Having issues with my electric bike batteries/ charger I contacted Yates cycle department and spoke to a young man named Lydon, the member of staff was very knowledgeable regarding anything bicycle and as he himself could not personally help me with my problem I believe he went above and beyond to help me out by contacting the makers on a couple of occasions to help resolve my problem. I would like to thank Lydon for his help and let him know that all is sorted now the charger was faulty and now fixed, and mobile again. This young man is an asset to your store and would recommend your store for anyone needing a cycle there is a very good selection in store for everyone. In fact the store is an overall delight to look round.

Great place. Sometimes wander over just for a browse! Fantastic range of products - everything from white goods, nuts and bolts, outdoor clothes, kids toys, items for the kitchen, wood burners, picture hooks, lights, tool kits etc etc. Despite the massive range of goods, don't mistake this for a "jumble sale" shop - the staff know where everything is and know their stuff. Definitely recommend if you're after anything for the home or garden.

Always worth a look. Their bike shop is well stocked and has some bargains now and again.
