The food at the Thackeray is always consistent with high quality food. They offer the best roast dinner in Wales!nThey change the daily specials menu, daily and have unique options. They offer a great selection of drinks - including cocktails and wine. The staff are always friendly and offer great service. Highly recommend.
I've eaten here before and found the food to be of a good standard.nWe pre-ordered our meals a few days in advance which I totally understand when you are a large party, but sometimes you end up wishing you'd ordered something else when the meal comes.nI ordered the chicken tikka which came with chips, rice and a poppadom. Generous portion and tasted really nice.nThe majority of our party enjoyed their meals and the salted caramel popcorn waffle got rave reviews. I'll definitely try that next time.nMy niece's meal was overcooked so that was deducted from the bill.
We had a beautiful Mother’s Day meal here today! Food was absolutely beautiful.nEspecially the homemade Apple pie delicious Not something you see on dessert menus of late but such a welcome addition! More of these old favourites please!
Organised my dads 90th and mums 80th joint birthday meal at the Thackery.nPaula and her team were amazing taking into account my dad's dementia and my mums mobility issues.nDecorations and the joint cake was dropped off the night before and Paula even offered to help if needed on the day.nOn arrival, Paula assisted my mum to her seat whilst I was seating my father.nAs per preorder, Sunday lunches were served with extra big yorkshire puddings, with extra gravy and sauces offered. Kids menu was also available.nPaula assisted with the joint cake which was quite heavy, in order for us to wish them both a happy birthday and also a member of her staff assisted cutting it.nNothing was too much trouble despite outside challenges Paula was experiencing.nLovely food & Excellent Customer Service.nMy parents had a wonderful joint milestone birthday. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.nThank you Paula and team. Would highly recommend. Xxx
Food was not good. Had to send two of the starters back as so salty they were inedible. Four of us had steaks at £20 and £23 really not good quality. Poor quality food and certainly not worth the price.nThe serving staff were lovely as usual. Unfortunately I will not be going back.
