Very sad to get to this point but our encounter with Queensbury Van Hire was deeply disappointing and utterly unprofessional. Initially, we rented a long-wheelbase van that reeked of fuel, and when replaced, the substitute had a bald tire, raising serious safety concerns. Despite being solely responsible for the issues, they inconvenienced us with multiple trips having to change the van twice to the depot for exchanges, disregarding the safety and legality of the situation. Their hidden charges and excessive admin fees were beyond tolerable. They seem to thrive on £50 PCN admin fees and £25 fines, which they unfairly imposed on us for failing to set up our recurring payment, essentially setting us up for extra charges. Upon returning the van with only a minor scratch, they unjustly charged us £517.50. Despite our requests for evidence of the vehicle's condition before and after Standard request when renting, as well as a breakdown of the work performed, they have remained unresponsive. I am left with no choice but to pursue legal action. Having dealt with numerous hire companies over the years, we have never encountered one as unscrupulous as this. Their staff Tori “Manager” rude and dismissive, arrogantly claiming they bigger accounts over ours and are not bothered about our custom. It's baffling how they manage to stay in business.

I have used Queensbury Van Hire on several occasions over the last few months and each time the service has been excellent and the staff are always very helpful. The vehicles are immaculate and well maintained and I would highly recommend them if you are considering van/car rental. Keep up the great work! Another happy customer! :-

My partner and I have used Queensbury van hire twice already and have just booked a van to use again on Sunday to move a sofa.  I personally wouldn't use any other company.  They have great rates and the fact that you can hire for the day on a Sunday rather than the whole weekend is excellent.  The vans are always in a clean condition and the staff are really friendly and helpful.  I have already recommended to others

Rented a large van from them last week, only £75 which I think is very good value. The understandably large excess can be mitigated with an extra payment, but I didn’t bother. The owner apologised in advance because the van had a few dents from previous hirer which hadn’t yet been fixed obviously not a problem to me, I was just moving some machinery these were noted on the hire form, so they weren’t a problem on return.  Professional service and despite being really busy the handover was thorough. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.

Gary and his team are amazing. So helpful and friendly despite me going in and out of our container multiple times in a day - nothing was too much to ask.  The units themselves are clean and secure and can be accessed throughout the day and on weekends.  Gary allowed us to use the unit free of charge for storing some gifts we had collected for handing out to children this Christmas.  Thank you so much to all at QVH, you made our lives so much easier enabling us to make a difference to lots of children’s lives this Christmas

We have used Queensbury Van Hire for a number of years, on many times short notice. The Vans are always maintained and clean, this gives us confidence knowing the vans are reliable and look professional.  The staff have always been polite and go the extra mile. Good all round experience, owner signed off vehicle without marking small dent on drivers which was spotted upon return. Deposit withheld until Monday on his return. Honest guy respect

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with this company, I asked if I could change the day as my move date fell through with only a few hours notice given to me, they charged me for the day i should have had even though it was out of my control and I was still going to be taking a van a few days later. I tried to explain to which they replied they aren't interested as they are a business. So much for customer service. I have booked in with hillcrest, half the price and lovely guy. Everyone I have told knows someone who has had a negative experience with this company.

Similar experience to Adam. No answer, book online, no confirmation, left 2 messages, got through 1st thing Monday morning. Random excuses. Basically the online booking didn't work & they didn't have a van. If they had told me that straight away and before taking payment, I could have gone elsewhere. Older reviews on here very positive, recent ones, not. Avoid till they sort themselves out.
