Our eldest child attends this school and she has enjoyed her time at school so much she has applied to do her A levels in the purpose built 6th Form next year. We have been so impressed with how she has grown and developed into a well-rounded young lady through her time at the school that we were delighted when our youngest child passed his 11+ so he will be coming here next year. He has wanted to attend the school ever since he attended his sisters welcome meeting, when he heard Mr Allsop talk about “it’s not what you know it’s about what you don't know...yet.” The school have supported my daughter in her academic achievements, she has worked hard and been encouraged by the teaching staff to attain her potential. What we have been most impressed with the schools extra-curricular offering. There have been so many opportunities for her to experience new things and develop into a well-rounded individual, from sporting events, theatre trips and opportunities to develop her self-confidence and responsibility. The staff have supported her with her medical needs and have nurtured her through some difficult times, helping her manage grief as well as issues that they could easily have said were not their concern. We have found that from the first point of contact at reception, to her Form Tutor and Head of House, the staff we have dealt with have been approachable and responsive. We cannot recommend the school highly enough.

After attending this school for the past five years, I can honestly say it is brilliant. The staff are really supportive and approachable, and there is lots of extra help available if you need it. QEHS has provided me with many new opportunities and experiences, which have allowed me to develop as a person. It allows the students to achieve as high as possible, and their exam results are amazing. My time at QEHS has grown my confidence, given me many new friends and made me a better, more rounded person.

This school only cares about one thing: Exam Results. It does not care in the slightest about any other personal development. Yes, I'm sure many of the staff do care about personal well-being but it's the staff in positions of responsibility that try to pass any issues under the carpet. I was bullied for all of the time I was at this school. Looking back, it wasn't the bullies that I have anger for, it's the way the school dealt with the situation: by simply pretending that it didn't happen. They didn't want to spoil their reputation as statistically the second best school in the area for exam results - Caistor Grammar always beat Queenies. More than that though, they went one step further and lied. The school counsellor told me that what is said in the room stays in the room. I was never suicidal or in immediate danger so this should have wholly applied. Instead, she twisted the situation around and implied that it was "the situation at home" rather than the bullying at school that was an issue - I had amazing support from my family and my parents did everything they could to help. The school lied to my GP and refused to allow an educational psychologist to come in. The governors passed over the lies and allowed the school to bully my family. All in all, I had a miserable time at QEHS. I know people that have done very well there and have gone off to great things. However, I know others who have had a terrible time like me and heard from credited individuals that there are many who have had the same treatment from this school. I have kept my identity and the identity of the members of staff hidden so that I don't receive any more torment from this school.

Saying the school is outstanding is BS, the teachers probably don't act up when ofsted are there, and you have cherry picked the best students! So you have NO excuses, so don't brag about this, I bet the school is old and generally awful, I wonder if anyone I used to know from Primary School knows me...EE
