Really poor customer service, the majority of people know an MOT restest within 10 days is free, but they feel the need to charge nearly £30 for it and then pick holes in it again! Would avoid at all costs, car left outside unlocked as well
Was travelling over from Germany recently and specifically came to see Andy at this garage to have brake work done on my Van. They’re always credible, reliable, helpful and charge a reasonable cost. Thoroughly recommend.
Booked my car in to have rear pads fitted to my Ford C Max. They were excellent and very friendly. They gave me a very competitive quote, wasn’t the cheapest neither was it the most expensive. They booked my car in quickly within a couple of days of phoning them up and was very surprised to get a call saying my car was ready after only 2 hours from dropping it off. You couldn’t get better service. I will definitely be using them again once the warranty on my car ends.
Mot's for my van always carried out here. Quick reliable and convenient
Read the reviews before booking an MOT with these guys and should have really thought better. I originally booked in with a different garage, but stumbled across these chaps by accident. They were really great to squeeze me in under short notice as I was actually booked in with a different garage just around the corner! I left my number with him and told him not to leave a voice message as I don't have them set up I had seen the reviews stating that these guys don't call the car owner. So I left it in the morn and was told it'd be done in the afternoon. So I left it. I hadn't heard anything, so I called again 5 hours later to which the guy said "oh yeah it's all done, it's literally just finished." Which was great. So I stopped by to get it. Turns out, it was finished an hour before I called up and they didn't get around to making contact. This has been seen on many other reviews for their garage. I then went to my car which was left completely unlocked in their car park. Thankfully I didn't have anything in there. I found out that these guys tend to have a habit for this as well. Wouldn't rush back to this place if I needed any work or an MOT in the future. Would happily find another place. But the guy was fairly friendly on the phone, so that's why it's 2*, as well as them being very flexible with booking me in. I just don't appreciate my car being left unlocked for any length of time, no matter where it is. Im sure many people would be in the same boat.
This garage is not worthy of any stars! Avoid at all costs! I asked them to look at my car after being told I needed a certain part to repair the issue. After waiting a day and a half for a phone call to give me a quote for the work, I called in and they told me they had done the work required and were finishing up my paperwork. I was very shocked to hear this as I was waiting on a quote. They had gone ahead and done the work without my permission and tried to get me to pay over the odds. When I went to make my unhappiness known I was met with confrontation and nothing else! They were not willing to negotiate/compromise and in the end I asked them to take the work out. Low and behold to me after I spoke to colleagues about this garage, they had similar stories whereby they were waiting on a quote and they had gone ahead and completed the work. When I called to arrange collection of my car, they told me that they had driven it into a nearby car park and left it unlocked. Absolutely terrible customer service!!
Ignore the negative reviews on here, I have been sending my cars here for years for M.O.T's And other bits I cant do myself, They are efficient with a friendly and flexible approach. Just had my car M.O.T done and the Mechanic Stephen was attentive and happy to answer a couple of questions I had regarding my car. They come with my recommendation!
Have been using Quay Motors for 15+ years, have never had any complaints. Staff are very knowledgeable, and will always let you know in advance should anything be found that was not expected. Extremely good value compared to others, never carry out nugatory work. They come highly recommended.
