Utter ripoff. Spent almost 20 quid on 2 burger suppers, which is crazy even for a tourist destination. The chips were anaemic looking. The only saving grace was the burger bun, which was quite decent. The lady at the till seemed flustered and was frankly a bit rude. Do yourself a favour, there’s a co-op supermarket 5 mins away, head there and get a better dinner for 5 quid.
Good portion size and friendly service. Over all a good experience. How ever a little over priced, some bones left in fish and mushy peas were on the watery side.
Great portions. Had two haddock and chips. Few bones in both fish, but nicely cooked. The let down was they were busy and instead of wrapping and handing over once cooked they were putting the cooked items under the warning lights. This meant they were not piping hot by the time we got them. May have been better if we had sat in.
Whilst on our ongoing quest to find the best fish and chips in Scotland, we came upon this place today. Wow!!!.... Had to be the worst so far. The chips tasted as though they had been cooked in last week's bio fuel, and the fish, well, it was a first for me.... Full of bones, and instead being coated in the traditional crispy beer batter, it was wearing its own greasy jacket that resembled a sweat infused mattress topper. After 3 mouthfuls of fish and a half dozen chips.... It got tossed into a bin. Best place for it.
Fish and chips was decent. Sort of prices I expect to pay in a tourist location. Should offer salt and vinegar at counter. As the sachets put in the bag isn't enough. Disappointed to have drove to our lodge and the onion rings I had paid for weren't in the bag.
had sausage supper there as I was just off the hills and wanted a hot meal. fresh cooked and was great. friendly atmosphere and polite staff. would recommend ;Food: 4/5
Good delivery to our tourism accommodation for a small charge. Very tasty haggis supper. Can't fault it!
Went into to get a poke of chips on my way home I asked for salt and vinegar on the chips before the cheese was put on the women gave me a look of disgust and as if I was out of line. I asked for a refund as I won’t be taken for a fool she became very abusive because I had a an issue with bones in my fish before as far as I’m concerned this is no way to treat a customer. If your seeing this your chippy is shocking anyway and anyone who fancies a chippy should do the extra 10 off mile and go to Sammys or macaris in fort william
Lovely food, generous portions, and very friendly and accommodating customer service. I definitely recommend and will return if I'm visiting the Highlands again.Food: 5/5
I had chicken burgers with fries. It was good at least equal to a MacDonald or better for the price. The service was quick at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. I advise you try the curly fries. It's obviously not the best restaurant of the world but you come here for fast food and it does the job.
