Have had a brilliant stay at this hotel this week staff are all superb, really friendly and always good service. Food has been excellent! Good breakfast and dinner menu. The gym and pool facilities have been of great use and convenience for me. Car park is large, plenty of spaces. Highlight of the stay has been the shower haha. Really good and powerful, perfect for the morning wake up. Will happily stay here again.
All the staff were really helpful with all queries and questions. We ate there and the food was lovely and the staff were excellent, especially Grace who took our order etc. The gym facilities and pool etc were also brilliant. Though the swimming pool was cold. Rooms: Rooms are lovely. Though did find tne pillows a bit too soft for me. Though did sleep well Food & drinks: The food is fabulous
Very good hotel. Room excellent 141 pool, jacuzzi and sauna all relaxing. Location good too. Very close to A19 and only 10 minutes from Sunderland.Rooms: 5/5
It’s been 1 of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, the staff are so good and they make you feel so relaxed there, the food is also really good quality and the rooms are great quality
Nice hotel if you find yourself in that area, with mostly friendly staff. Very comfortable room and public areas, with quite a fun hotel layout to explore.
This is a lovely place to stay outside city rush calm and peaceful it’s a bungalow type hotel and similar atmosphere hence it’s old so you won’t have modern hotel feel but it still maintains luxury It has gym and swimming pool with jacuzzi it opens 5:30 am and closes at 8pm however parking is free upon registration at the reception desk along as you stay. Things I didn’t like is breakfast is not included hotel amenities are aged need to be replaced. Rooms: Rooms Are old fashioned for me exhaust fan and heating system was very noisy . heating blower steal my sleep anytime it turns on with loud sound and blows hot air. Tv as well for me was old lcd however I didn’t watch it there is nothing much to watch
Attended an evening with a clairvoyant. A good turn out and plenty of messages. Plenty of Car parking , bar open and chairs comfortable.Rooms: 4/5
Be aware that the hotel car park is owned by Parkingeye. We were only there to meet a client for dinner, so can't comment on the hotel, we arrived on a dark wet night, didn't see the signs and have come away with a £60.00 'charge' to park! in addition to paying for dinner. We will know for the next time, which there won't be one. We would encoorage other gests and users to learn from this, make their own minds up and to be aware of the Clarion/Parkingeye scamming relationship. There are lots of other hotels around.
Only one towel was in the room. My husband and I were supposed to share the towel? Breakfast was fresh and tasty.Rooms: 3/5
Great location and facility. The pool was big and spacious and there is a gym attached that has the bare minimum equipments. The staff were friendly and I was grateful for the additional 1hr late checkout. The toilet was clean and the room looked adequate for a one night stayover. There was a mini fridge in the room but it wasn't cold enough. It was pretty hot in the room with a thick duvet and could have been better. Food & drinks: Close to a supermarket and several restaurants such as McDonald's and Tim Horton
