Fabulous collaboration of a historic building combined with this modern age we live in,to provide inspirational rooms for art, dance and musical inspiration no matter who you are or where you come from with friendly helpful staff.
smallish theatre, about 300 capacity, no stage for rich hall who was excellent lots of parking near by ,close to bank quay Station. approx 5 quid a pint View from 4th row
My kids performed in a play so I'm slightly biased in my review. The staff were amazing. There was someone to help all over the place. Hot drinks and snacks available. Seating was ok, they could do with more comfortable seating. The place was very warm. It was easy to hear due to microphones and speakers. The lighting was just right not too dark.
I went to see the recording of BBC's Question Time, interesting. Great little venue.
I have come to see the comedy store and it will be a great night as usual. However, the venue is severely lacking. The toilet had no hand dryer or towel and no flush. The bar area was partly closed with a big queue and there were shopping trolleys and a drum kit in the seating area! Such a shame as it has great potential but just not good enough.
Clean building, Good parking area but you cannot pay cash at the machine so dont forget your phone and credit card. Paid £5 for 4 hours parking. Inside the building is extremely hot and stuffy at this time of year due to lack of ventilation and lots of glass that makes it a bit like a greenhouse, but on the positive, it is spacious, modern, good toilet facilities, drinking water dispenser available, and easily accessible just off the A49
Great entertainment. Several theatres and performance spaces large and small. Friendly helpful non officious staff. A pleasure to be there. Plenty of loos on each floor. Stairs and lifts. 3 floors of performance spaces. A small bar in the cella with reasonable prices. This is a modern concrete and steel building. It's quite brutal architecture. Its spotlessly clean. All areas are wheelchair accessible.
I go to a performing arts group here put on by creative remedies. Monday afternoons. For people experiencing depression & anxiety. Its helping me with confidence, self esteem & gets me out of the house meeting people. It's good fun & I never feel like I have to prove my worth.
Lovely food in a good setting, only comments I'd make is let some natural light in rather than make the place so dark during the day and the prices, does it really cost anywhere near £10 to pull two pints?
The talk was fantastic but there was zero heating so coats on. And just 2 individual toilets meant silly queues for even a very modest audience. Every other person coming out saying "sorry, the flush isn't working properly" !!
