Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great venue for parties. Sports bar located upstairs is a great place to unwind watch sports and play pool/snooker or darts.
A hidden gem, the Workmens Club Sports Var is warm, welcoming and well equipped - boasting a full size snooker table the only one in Portishead to my knowledge, pool, darts and more. Membership is cheap as chipsand well worth it. This is easily the best evening out in Portishead; it won't break the bank either. I'll definitely be a regular from now on and I'm always up for a game of pool or snooker.
Room was a great venue for a party. Goid room rate. Staff all really friendly. A bit unknown..and hidden away..not sure why it is not marketed more. Can it shake off the ex Working Mans club image...does its committee want to. ??
Good beer good price good company
Very welcoming establishment should you need a venue for an event in the portishead area you should check them out.... and if it's a quiet drink or a game of snooker you should consider becoming a member..... well worth a visit....
I had a fab time with the boys from Brizzle!
Good basic boozer. Good beer. Good rolls. Friendly staff and plenty of pool tables and dart boards.
My daughter and her husband had their wedding reception here and the staff made the room look amazing and went the extra mile to make it an amazing evening
Good selection of drinks, friendly staff, lots and lots of good sports showings with many televisions, WiFi and a pool table
Very friendly and enjoyable experience hopefully we will be back again tomorrow
