The food was delicious. We tried Salt & Pepper wings, fish pakora, Kalia Ghost, Chicken Karahi, Calicut Biriyani, Garlic Nun. Kalia Ghost is the lamb curry and it was delicious. We loved the wings and pakoras too. The Karahi was a bit dull.
I was working in East Kilbride staying at a Premier Inn about 2 mile away, thought I'd try somewhere different than the Beefeater. Went on a Wednesday night, not many people in here, had poppadoms to start with the really tasty onions and dips. Had a Chicken Banarasi never heard of or tried beforemain with garlic naan. This was the tastiest curry I think I've ever had!!! If I'm ever in E K again will 100% drop in. 2 pints of Kingfisher too, all around £28.
Ordered a set meal deal for 2 through JustEat, and it was excellent. The portions are very generous and the food was delicious. The Chicken Chaat was a particular stand-out. Easy 5 stars.
How did anyone ever ever gave this restaurant a 5 star review??!!!nFirst the good points- reasonably nice surroundings and very polite staff. However the food was RUBBISH!!!nNever thought it possible to have a bad curry these days but boy!!!! I was totally so so disappointed!!!nNever tasted curries as awful as these!!nThe pakoras and Samosa were soggy and undercooked. The curries don’t taste fresh and more like lamb stew Lamb Jalanghari with little taste of fresh spices. The chicken kangahari was just as bad and the chicken definitely not freshly cooked.nSo don’t waste your money. Try somewhere else…. ANYWHERE!!!
Had a pleasant lunch meal here. Pakora and onion bhadji was lovely. Spiced onions were on point along with the poppudoms. Sadly the experience was let down with the South Indian garlic and bhoona sauces which seemed similar to a jar like experience, very powdery and vinegary tasting with tiny soft onions in it just like patax. When this place was the atrium court they made simply the best curry I had ever tasted. The balti arrived boiling and spitting in a steel cauldron. It’s a shame the sauces were not right, but please realise I am picky and I still ate it anyway.
