A fabulous, comfortable place to stay with welcoming host. A little bit of a walk from the train station but the host will pick you up when possible. We actually had him transport our bags and took the pleasant walk to the guest house Rooms: Great comfortable beds, quiet. Room 3 has a comfortable seating area and pretty views. Nearby activities: Hiking, visiting the castle and easy drive to neighboring towns Walkability: An easy walk to the quaint town, Blair Castle and many hikes in the area
My wife and I stayed two nights at the Ptarmigan House. It's within walking distance of the train, in a quiet little village. The breakfast was superb. The rooms are quite clean and well stocked. The nights are peacefully quiet. I would highly recommend the Ptarmigan House. Rooms: Clean, quiet, well stocked Walkability: The train station is well within walking distance.

A wonderful place to stay, spotless and comfortable large rooms. Ours even had a little lounge area with cosy armchairs. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and provide every assistance in helping you make the most of your stay in this fabulous part of Scotland. The breakfast is second to none with the tastiest, locally sourced produce, cooked and served exactly to how and when you like it. Highly recommended. 7 stars!
A great place to stay in Blair Atholl expertly hosted by Gordon. We had a very spacious room with bonus armchairs and a great view. Breakfast was superb with lots of choice. Everything from the train station to local restaurants and trail&hike walks are in close proximity. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
We booked a room suitable for families travelling with two young children and it worked out fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and the hosts were fabulous; taking time each morning to check in with all guests in the morning on how the previous day worked out and providing any information and assistance required for that day. Beautiful quiet location, very comfortable atmosphere, made to order breakfasts, and top notch hosts. Also interesting if you are curling fans....
This bed and breakfast is absolutely amazing. The hosts are the loveliest people. We traveled with a 1 year old baby and this was absolutely no problem. They gave us tips for the area, discount for the castle, delicious made to order breakfast and a beautiful lovely bright corner room overlooking the hills. I can not recommend this place enough!! It’s so relaxing that I recommend at least two nights.
Our room was far too small for two people. Owners very pleasant and room clean and bed comfortable but we had to move furniture to find spot for our suitcases. Definitely not for two people.Sorry.
A wonderful overnight stay in this immaculate property. The bedroom was furnished to a very high standard and the owners were very friendly. The 'picnic' breakfast was fantastic. We felt very safe. Will definitely return.Rooms: 5/5
