Thank you Megan @ Pontefract. I've had covid for 5 days and reserved some items that ran out today. I'd paid for them I called in a panic thinking I'd lose my money. Megan was fantastic. Calmed a very upset me and then extended just a little while longer. I've been so poorly and not being able to breathe very well...she helped me through the entire call. Do be careful however calling the automated service at Argos. If you press 2 and you don't give the right 'reason for calling' you'll get a happy "goodbye and thank you for calling". It may have you frustrated to the point of picking a window for your phone so I would advise pressing 1I may get into trouble for that but it will help you hopefully. Thanks again Megan. UPDATE. Argos DID NOT put my items away for longer and even though I still had covid I and couldn't go in myself I lost my daughters Christmas gifts. If they hadn't been paid for then yes please take them off reserve but I explained to Megan I had covidif they record the calls this can be heard. I'm heartbroken.  I did initially put 5 stars and they were for Megan!

Ordered a ninja dual click n collect on Monday and got a mail to say it was ready to collect on Wednesday morning , went to collect it to be told we had cancelled it and it had been sold. As these are in big demand it looks like one of the staff has cancelled our order to purchase themselves and to add insult to injury we now have to wait upto 7 days for a refund. I will never shop there again in a shop where the staff can’t be trusted.

Opening times are 09:00-18:00 Monday-Saturday NOT 08:30 as stated by Google. It is correct on the Argos website

Fast service, helpful staff, a good layout,  and ground floor access make this an easy place to shop. The location is good, exactly opposite the indoor Market. The surrounding shops and cafes are a bonus. Parking is the only issue here. An alleyway and pedestrian crossing seperate the business from the nearest car park.

Travelled from Germany and needed a chip pan, super friendly and quick service. Topped off with the cashiers quip... "so you are Day chippers are you". Highly recommend Argos store.

Shopped here many times and collected items bought online through Argos and eBay via their click and collect option. Service is always excellent! The staff deserve a pat on the back they are truly committed to helping their customers get what they need. First rate shopping experience every time ive been in!

Social distancing was adhered to in the queue outside of the store as was the wearing of masks. As only a click and collect service is available at the moment the staff were serving at the doorway and they were friendy,polite,helpful and efficient resulting in an excellent, overall and trouble-free experience/purchase.

Excellent attention and service when returning a faulty pressure washer... Couldn't find my receipt and had no box, but had a bank statement - Matt the manager swapped it over for me with no problems and no fuss. In a day and age where everyone wants to complain, this was excellent service in my opinion, and well done to Argos for sorting my problem. Thank you!

Lovely Argos in Pontefract store . Got help from  a lovely lady Wendy ... very engaging will definitely use Pontefract again having always used Castleford .

Just collected my fast track order. Store is on a precinct so i was told i could drive to the rear of the store to collect. The lady put some items in my car, said she was too busy to check the items and then went inside and shut the door! Then i was made to drive away by traffic wardens. I had no idea if i had all the items i paid for and no receipt. I was calling the store all the way home, eventualy i was told to use my emails as a receipt. Staff "too busy" to deal with customers? Will it help if you have fewer customers? Farcical at best. Choose a different store.
