Such a shame this house remains closed to the public. The house is such an impressive building to see even it just from the outside. I have many happy memories of visiting the interior and the excellent little cafe. One of the oldest buildings in Aberdeen always worth a look. One day hopefully it will re-open.
Marischall Square has been very tastefully built around this historic building.
Oldest house in Aberdeen, it's a pity it won't be open to the public until autumn 2020. When it was open you got a lovely feeling being back in the past. I used to pop in often to the cafeteria for my coffee, which was often.
It is a shame that this wonderful looking build from so many years ago is surrounded by the new monstrosity recently built on the site where the previous council offices were which was another monstrosity. An open park with seating and grass instead of yet more hotels and restaurants would have been so much nicer.
Still closed. Can only see the outside. Nice outside but needs to be seen before dusk.
Nice to look around etc unfortunately it's closed for refurb
Really pretty to walk around.
Only spent 5 hours on a packed train and the cost of a hotel to visit Aberdeen and it's currently CLOSED tourist attractions. Reflects my first impression of this neglected city. Don't bother visiting Aberdeen go to York!
Provost skenes house is the only remaining house built in 1545 unfortunately the local council bulldozed the remaining houses to start building their own offices so some of Aberdeens illustrious past was slowly destroyed by short sighted councillors.
A fine little museum rich in Aberdeen history. Provost Skene's House really gives you a sense of the times. Entry is free and it is located near City Centre.
