Story

More and more people want to know where their food comes from which is where we set ourselves apart from other retailers. We are passionate about supplying the best quality produce as locally as possible to the local people, and this means knowing full provenance. Only then, can we be assured that it is the best and freshest produce available.

Everything we stock has been carefully selected to give our customers a range of everyday essentials to a host of foodie treasures. We have tried to offer ingredients for the weekly family meal to an elaborate dinner party. We are a practical alternative to the supermarket. We pick every product because we think it tastes great and we hope you’ll agree.

We endeavour to deliver a first class service to all our customers. We want to bring back a traditional shopping experience with old fashioned service and values but with time saving and modern convenience for todays busy lives. We want to offer an alternative to the supermarket, like the good old days when meat was from the butcher, bread from the baker and veg from the greengrocer. Our ethos is to get back to what food shopping used to be like, with great quality and service but with the same prices as the supermarket or cheaper. We are simply a modern interpretation of a traditional high street. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Provenance was born out of a passion for tasty, fresh and affordable quality food all in one convenient place, which is not currently available in Westhoughton.
