Love it here. Amazing food and service and great value for money. Bottomless brunch is the bomb! 2 hours can mix and match drinks and no ridiculous rules on finishing your last mouthful before ordering another. New favourite place in the bailgate and also dog friendly
A wonderful afternoon here, enjoying the bottomless brunch. Emma was an absolute star and made our day very special, thank you so much. Joe made us a gorgeous cocktail, and made our day extra special, thank you. Thoroughly recommended. Lovely drinks in picturesque surroundings, you won't be disappointed. The staff are an absolute credit to the pub. Nothing is too much trouble and we felt very well looked after throughout.
Some of the best food my wife and I have had in England. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lunch deal is a great deal and fills you up with tasty options. I ordered the BBQ beef brisket panini and it was fabulous. My wife ordered the Smokey Pulled Chicken panini and she loved it. The deal comes with a hot drink and cake or the soup of the day. The soup of the day was sweet potato and bacon and it was good, served in a to go cup for easy transport and eating. My wife got the hot drink, hot chocolate, and cake, a crispy and really sweet dessert. We decided that if pubs like this place have food this good then we will keep exploring pubs, and this one has sunday slow roastes meats that we are going to try out this sunday, so I will update at that time. We will come back. **update 13-August-2022** Still a good place. Korean BBQ wings are very tasty and crispy. Tacos are, well they are disappointing, the chicken was the best. Mac and cheese is a little on the bland side, needed more flavor.
This has changed into a very nice cosy pub for a town centre. They have updated the decor and the place has a nice feel to it. The food was very good, very nicely cooked and with good flavour. The service was excellent with Emma overlooking the place.
Amazing food and service! When they brought chicken wings instead of cauliflower wings they were super apologetic and gave us a refund and a free dessert which was completely unexpected and super lovely of them! Amazing manager and all wait/bar staff especially Joe! Thank you so much
Good spot, friendly vibe Saturday afternoon. Excellent outside seating area. Dog friendly. Bit on the pricey side but worth a visit.
Amy has been a fantastic host for us at the prince of whale! She has been so friendly and accommodating to our brunch! I have never been here before and after dealing with Amy, I’ll definitely come again. She has meet all of our needs!!!!! Thankyou Amy
Had a bottomless brunch here and it was amazing. Great value for money. Joe our server made sure we were constantly topped up. Great time.

Lovely pub set right in the heart of the bale. Staff are great and make you feel very welcome. Food is awesome and a very cosy atmosphere
