My husband and I popped in Saturday mid afternoon. Used the app to order food and drinks. Both were served quickly. We ordered the salty beef burgers and they were very tasty. Used the toilet after the meal and was discussed by what I saw. Children's highchairs being stored in their, and they were filthy, old dried on food stuck to them. As you can see from the following pictures; the sink, tap, toilet and floor we're all filthy! Even the first dispenser was hanging off the wall and spilling over the floor. Goodness knows when it was last cleaned in there. The whole pub needs a deep clean and a makeover. I left feeling yuck and won't be returning to that Greeneking!
We had our family dinner here. We ordered fish and chips, burger and steak pie. They are okay, but not our taste. Hopefully if we visit again, will taste better.
I visited the Prince of Wales one afternoon for a quiet pint. I must have had a really good time because, when I regained consciousness, I was stripped to the waist in Trafalgar Square, covered in chips, cheese and beans. 10/10. If I had friends, I'd definitely recommend they came here.
Been for quite a few meals to this pub. Food is always great and the staff are extremely helpful. Last time me and the wife went for a drink the barman, Nathan, went out of his way to help us. It’s service like this that keep us coming back. Been back a few more times since this review and still received great service, especially from Nathan.
We booked a table for 15 people on a Saturday mid afternoon, all the staff were friendly and welcoming, we provided a pre order, and all the food came out very promptly, and was all very nicely cooked, would highly recommend. A good friendly pub, woth a buzzy atmosphere thanks again
Sat in on a Sunday early afternoon. The pub was empty, ordered the food mac and cheese, bacon and cheese burger and BBQ chicken took 45 mins arrive. My husband said the burger was allright, mac and cheese was tasteless, the ciabatta bread was dry and the side salad was not washed. My friend ordered the BBQ chicken which was dry outside, ridiscoulsly overcooked. The cabbage in the coleslaw was actually brown. The bartender guy made his cigarette at the bar. Not impressed at all!!!
Lovely pub and staff, always helpful and good atmosphere. Recommended! Ideal location opposite the Didcot train station.
Great staff when ever you come in to the pub. The new menu is fantastic would recommend to everyone!! ; fantastic place to meet your mates and family the fish cakes are great and delicious would recommend it to all my mates!!!!
There for Sunday lunch. Starter took 40 minutes to arrive. The roast beef which was dry and had cold cabbage and soggy roasts arrived after another 40 minute wait. Toilets, the ones that worked hadn't been cleaned for a while. Not impressed.
Really friendly and quick service. Just popped in for a quick coffee today after getting off the train. I would definitely recommend.
