Staff here are wonderful,  my waiter was so helpful and descriptive.  The place looked nice and the food was good. Cocktails are great also. I however did not like the chicken wings . Had such a lovely lunch yesterday at prime in St Albans. After telling the waiter it was my birthday he brought over a delicious glass of Prosecco on the house, and also brought over a bowl of ice cream with a candle at the end of our meal; which I was so grateful for!  Me and my friend had two courses off of the lunch menu, and my goodness were both dishes delicious. To start I had the short rib Benedict which was a huge portion considering it’s a lunch menu and normally they can be a bit stingy and then had the burger which was also delicious.  Thanks prime for making my birthday lunch so enjoyable!

Great food and service. Really nice menu with a mix of dishes for everyone. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, they made my mums birthday really special.

Gave this restaurant a try on Wednesday evening without reservation as it was along our route and at the time of the review rated with 4,6 on average out of 1033 reviews.  We gave the Halloumi Burger  priced at 16,50 GBP  and the 350g rib-eye steak  priced at 32,90 GBP  a try. Our dishes have been very delicious and the steak exactly at the requested cooking stage  medium-rare . Staff was very friendly.  On-site parking is non existent but there might be parking on the main road available  free of charge for 1 hour . We are vegetarian so were pleasantly surprised that the veg dishes at a steak house were so good! We have had the tortellini twice this week and tried the crème brûlée & pavlova. We recommend all three. The service is excellent; friendly, professional and swift. We will be back and will bring guests! Thank you to the staff for a lovely experience.

Ok. So where to start. We had a booking for two. When we arrived the host apparently the manager as well.. couldn’t find our booking. After an awkward couple of minutes he said we don’t have a reservation. When I showed him a text on my phone he was totally lost. My wife spotted my name on the screen and showed him our reservation. His answer was - “Someone is already sitting at this table”. Pause. In the end he gave us a table but there was no apologising or a single “Sorry”. The host was arrogant and acted like he was doing us a favour. The food - starters were good. However, the Wagyu burger was a disaster. No one asked how we would like it cooked and instead of a medium a typical steakhouse default it came overcooked no juice at all. No one brought the dips we’ve asked for.. So in short - nice décor, interesting menu but dreadful service. Not a “prime” place. I’ve been to almost all steakhouses in London and yes the service and quality varies but this place is just the bottom.

For a start the staff were fantastic! So polite and welcoming and some of the nicest people I’ve encountered in a restaurant. The food was amazing, cooked to absolute perfection and perfect portion sizes. Cannot recommend enoug! We will return!

Loved it. Much better quality than some of the other steakhouses around locally. When we first got to the restaurant, I was feeling really warm as we were close to the kitchen, and the waiter found the coolest part of the restaurant for us to be relocated. I really appreciated that. We were taken care of really well. The scallops starter was delicious as was the bone in rib eye for main. Honestly can't fault this place. First-class steakhouse which can also prepare flavourful starters.  Been there for my birthday, myself and my partner ordered two starters to share, tuna tataki and scallops.  The seasoning of the tuna was delicious, a perfect combination of cucumber, mint and avocado. Scallops were also good, I liked the combination with the Irish black pudding.  The steak we had was the chateaubriand - it was really tender and tasty. Amazing.  In addition, we also got some cheese scones with butter and crème fraiche at the beginning of our dinner.  The location is also pretty nice, the staff was very kind and welcoming. Recommended

Absolutely fabulous experience. Service top quality and they added a special touch for our wedding anniversary   highly recommended
