The staff provide good service and the selection of products is quite extensive. However, it’s best to treat this place as somewhere to browse rather than shop. When you’ve chosen the items you like and are ready to pay, you’ll find the waiting time at checkout extremely long. It’s surprising that such a large brand doesn’t have self-checkout machines. I’ve seen long queues many times and ended up giving up on making a purchase. I hope this issue will be taken seriously and improved.
Took loads of pictures here but there was a weird buck tooth kid with an Afro outside shouting the word Croydon and attacking employees. When I tried to leave an employee kept me inside telling me it wand safe and the employee used aggressive tone of voice and strong and threatening body language despite my efforts to leave.
I was served by a young girl named Elyssa, I’m pretty sure, who was insanely rude and had a disgusting attitude. She practically threw the items of clothing in my face and told me to leave. I understand stores can be busy, which can lead to a difficult working environment, but the girl practically ignored me and continued having an inappropriate conversation with the girl next to her. Extremely unimpressed.
I visited the Southampton Primark to exchange a pair of unworn children’s wellington boots £6.50 that were too large. The item was purchased at the Gateshead store. Unfortunately, the receipt could not be found, but I was requesting an exchange only, not a refund.nnThe sales assistant was dismissive and interrupted my explanation, stating that an exchange was not possible. I then spoke to the manager, who was also unhelpful.nnGiven that my family and I have been regular customers, this experience was disappointing, particularly over a low-value children’s item. I left without making further purchases and will reconsider shopping here in future.nnIf there is a problem with theft or dishonesty then I’m sorry but please do not treat regular hard working customers as thought they are out to cheat you!!nnI have better things in life to be doing rather than trying to swindle Primark out of £6.50.
There was a lot of stuff, and the prices were reasonable. It had three floors, but the categorization wasn't good; the items were arranged very chaotically. It was a mess as soon as you walked in, and you couldn't easily find anything. Although the checkout line was long, it was quick; you didn't have to wait much.
