Yesterday I stopped outside Preston’s garage, in my HGV as parking is very limited for this vehicle. My disabled wife wanted a Greggs on the other side of the road. After crossing the road, I heard I very rude till assistant from the petrol station shouting you can’t park there! So I came back and told my wife Gregg’s wasn’t happening!! Due to a petrol pump employee having a bad day!! Well let me tell you Mr Employee, with this action I’ll never visit Preston’s Garage again! I normally stop here every day to fuel my business vehicle, spending on average £75 per x 7 days each week. Which works out to be £25,200 I will of spent over the year!! So now this is a loss to the business!! Bad luck for you & good times for the next convenient fuel station on the way; Have a great day
Well equipped petrol station on the outskirts of Ashbourne. 4 pumps - all available 24hrs a day thanks to inbuilt card payment system. Has a well stocked shop - the usual products you would expect in a petrol station. Sweets, drinks & sandwiches as well as magazines & newspapers. Air is available at £1 for 5 minutes.
Pay at pump handy, prices in recent weeks not as competitive as previously for Ashbourne
Just went in for a fill up . Not the cheapest petrol but not too bad. Forecourt clean and tidy with a handy coffee shop next door.
24 hour service facility and friendly staff. Smart coffee lounge and furniture store on the same site. Entry and exit sometimes difficult due to dangerous nearby road junction and parking on the site. Sometimes very competitive prices.
How do you want to rate a petrol station? It is 24/7. You can pay at the petrol pump by card or during working hours inside. I can't say anything about the staff because I paid outside by card. Maybe one small thing. Some people prefer single use gloves, so their hands don't smell from petrol/diesel. There weren't any when I was there. It doesn't bother me, just a comment.
Went to the attached furniture shop. This had impressive room fresheners, very large and very expensive but wonderful smells. The furniture was good but not what we were looking for.
Where shall I start with this company? They seem to forget they are in a small town and not London. Seems to me they like ripping off the locals with their extortionate fuel prices, no wonder the owners drive around in Range rovers and Bentley’s. I’d rather travel to the M1 service station as the fuel is £184.9 than pay £193.9 and raising everyday in Ashbourne….. terrible place to refuel
This is a great garage, they've dug us out of a hole twice now. They are incredibly helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they really understand what it's like when your car goes wrong including providing a free courtesy car. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Handy if your local, only other shop for miles is in Brailsford and very small. If not for those it would be Ashbourne, Derby or Belper, tripling my journey time. Anyone managing to keep a local shop going in October '22 deserves 5 stars in my book.
