Our room is very nice, comfy bed and clean. The complimentary soap, and shampoo is good...the shower is very good, hot water straight away. Unfortunately it's a 40 minute walk to town, and with the roadworks, it feels like you're all over the place especially when you're really shattered from walking. Kelpies is about 10 minute walk away, which is good and can visit in the evening when they're lit up.
Great value for money, friendly staff, lovely clean room. Powerful shower, big towels. Easy to get into Edinburgh city centre - we drove to Polmont super close each day and left our car in the free car park and then just took the train into town.
Brilliant stay a short walk from the Falkirk stadium. Booked an extra night quite late at night after missing a bus to Edinburgh and it was no problem arriving a day early - I was given the same room I would have had anyway. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable rooms for an amazing price. My credit card didn't work on the vending machine and the receptionist paid for the chocolate bar herself. Will be back the next time I am lucky enough to be in Falkirk - especially for a Bairns game.
First and foremost, service was excellent. Wonderful member of staff at reception who was very helpful.nnSadly though, the rest of the visit was very much average.nnFirst and foremost, our room had make up powder over the bathroom floor, and hairs on the bedding, which was disappointing. I don’t feel the room was cleaned very well at all.nnAnother negative was the amount of light coming into the room that kept us awake due to blinds that wouldn’t sit flush against the wall. Curtains or blinds within the dimensions of the window would help. The picture I attached was at 2am.nnBut, look - it was cheap. It was a bed for the night… it just wasn’t a good night of sleep at all.
The hotel was great — comfy bed, great shower, lovely staff, clean and comfortable, The hotel staff were some of the best I have come across. The only downside was that I didn’t sleep as well as I’d hoped due to some external noise beyond the hotel’s control: a low hum similar to an air conditioning unit during the night, a cherry picker starting up at around 5:30 am, and some very chatty seagulls. I appreciate these things happen and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs.
