Comfortable & quiet with all the necessaries for an overnight stay. Good breakfast at the restaurant next door. I wouldn't stay for more than a couple of nights though.

Clean, even if a little tired - spongy lino on bathroom floor, chips in bath enamel, small water stains on bathroom ceiling. Beds are comfortable enough and rooms are generally fine. Pet hate - no power sockets anywhere near the bed and as I sleep with a CPAP breathing machine, I need to take an extension cable with me and leave it trailing over the bedroom floor from the opposite wall overnight - a real safety hazard! This is a common problem at most hotels.

Older style premier inn so a bulky room key still used rather than a key card, check -in slow (unable to check in beforehand on line) and the lift wasn't working, room a bit basic but clean & tidy, no air con & window didn't open so room stuffy (fan & storage heater/portable heater provided), bed comfy as usual, in a quiet area within walking distance to Warrington, nice pub next door and free parking, overall good value for a one night stay but I much prefer the new brand premier inns

3 stars is pushing it! I've stayed twice now and the first time wasn't too bad, even thought the room is very basic and soul-less. The rooms are very dated but the beds are comfy and it was fairly clean. Last night however, the room (18) had a broken window frame and the control to the shower was broken. It started off as a tepid shower and went down to downright cold. The water in the taps however, was hot. It was reported to reception but I doubt anything will be repaired as it was obvious that the shower control has been broken for some time. The corridors smell very musty and damp.....so much so that there are plug-in air fresheners placed along the corridor to cover the smell. The lift was also not working, no big deal in itself but just another inconvenience. Only the restaurant next door (Goodwins) and the Starbucks in the village hotel make it bearable. The breakfast in Goodwins is very good quality and plentiful. But I won't be staying here again!
