Walked in for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. We were greeted by a young lady called Tracey, who asked if we had any allergies. She explained that it was a buffet breakfast and that, if we wanted any particular eggs, she would cook them fresh just as we liked them.nnThe breakfast was outstanding, with lots of variety. The breakfast room was lovely, with a nod to Kidderminster’s heritage, and the canvas photos were exceptional.nnThank you so much, Tracey, for making our experience wonderful — we cannot wait to come back! You are an asset to Premier Inn.
Quirky hotel due to its position within an old carpet weaving mill.nReception on top floor and rooms lower down add to the quirkyness!nBUT only one lift out of two working, and that lift is v-e-r-y s-l-o-w!!!nThe hotel tries to make a joke about it but it is annoying!nThe staff were wonderful.nBut was surprised to see a young lad cooking the breakfast with long, flowing hair! Not hygienic!
Very pleasently surprised.nFor starters the room is lovely and clean and the beds are super comfortable!nI was expecting the food at the restaurant to be average at best...i was wrong.nThe all you can eat breakfast was absolutley lovely and the dinners were great too. Even my kids were impressed!nnLast but definitley not least the staff are very welcoming and easy to approach. Top notch service.nnWould certainly recommend this premier inn
Hotel is within a shopping centre and its paid parking, £1.40 for 1 hour and £2.40 for two hours, overnight stay from £6, which covers 6pm to 10am. Two hours free for disabled people, scan the bar code on one of the parking meters, one right outside Tkmaxx. I made sure a receipt was sent to my email address. The hotel is an old mill. The reception and restaurant is on the 4th floor and only one of the two lifts work and that one is slow, i.e. takes about 1 minute to get to the reception area. Rooms are typically premier inn, the air con systems are slow and it's easy to overheat your room or cool it too much. The shower temperature had a mind of its own but once it settled down I did not alter the temperature again. The bar and restaurant is small and this can cause a lot of problems when the hotel is full. The staff were fantastic and really worked hard, the cook on day one for breakfast was rushed off her feet, and I felt so sorry for her! The rest of the staff were so polite even when exhausted after the breakfast rush. The only issue I had was that the meals were expensive with such small portions. There are better value places within walking distance like Flame and Ice, Shere Punjab etc. Nearby there is Tkmaxx, Boots, Pizza Hut. McDonald's, JD, and sports direct. Beware of your surroundings as there are unruly kids in the area.
Great location and stay for nearby West Midlands Safari Park less than 10 minutes drive awaynWe visited with 2 other families during a half term.nParking on retail park hotel located at. Pay either at meters or parking apps like RingGo download before go. Good rate after 4 pm until 10 am next day £6.60 when we were there via RingGo app just remember to be out by 10 or extend session.nHotel is converted Mill, different to usual modular build Premier Inns. Lovely exposed brick and character.nReception on 4th floor with restaurant and sort of bar.nStaff are very helpful and fully aware of limitations of building.nMain limitation is lifts. One lift not working and hasn't for months - come on Premier Inn, get it sorted! Because the lift that is working is VERY SLOW. So much so it is officially called the tortoise lift! Yes there are stairs, 94 to the 4th floor reception. Patience needed for lift with luggage...nThe lift not working is not the staff's fault of coursenRooms aren't that bit bigger due to the converted building, the extra room welcome in a family room, with lovely big windows and decent air con, otherwise the standard consistent quality and comfy beds we expect from Premier Inn.nDecent standard Premier Inn breakfast in a nice top floor breakfast room, but need to ask for pastries to be cooked if you want them.nWe didn't have dinner see below for recommendations, but did have a drink later in the evening, no draught beer, just bottles and cans, but nice enough for a drink and a game with family and friends.nGood selection of shops and restaurants nearby.nWould recommend nearby Wall 2 Wall for sit in dinner Indian and pizza and Fire and Ice for burger takeaway. McDonalds Costa and M&S also good for food amd drink nearby.
