Good stay here. Convenient for what I needed. Had a good carvery meal in the pub next door on the Sunday that I stayed, The Sailmaker. Retail park across the road, including McDonald's and M&S Foodhall. Breakfast staff Josh and Charlene were really efficient, friendly and helpful. BnThe breakfast was great. What more could you ask for at a good value price??
Room was average, standard for a standard price. I do recommend bringing your own toiletries as shampoo and body wash provided is 2-in-1 and not the best quality. But the service was top notch. The breakfast provided was lovely, worth the money you pay for it. Also, the hotel manager Irita was a delight and constantly checked in on us throughout the stay!
We stayed here in April I did post a 5* review but for some reason it’s not showing, which is a real shame because we had a great stay there.nWhen we booked, I happened to mention to mention that our youngest daughter who has SEN, has always been mad about premier inn and anything about them.nWhen we got to our interconnecting rooms, the lovely staff there had placed a lovely gift on our daughters bed with a lovely note on it for her too bless them.nThe rooms were lovely, don’t let the slightly dated exterior of the hotel put you offnAs I say, the staff are lovely, and we cannot praise them enough for making our stay extra special by what they did for us.nThe next time we are down that way, we will definitely book again.nOn our experience we would recommend it without any hesitation.
We used this hotel as a touring base and were delighted at how convenient it was. Portsmouth is only a seven-minute crossing upon the Gosport Ferry foot passengers only which is only three miles from the hotel. If one is prepared to walk about five minutes to/from the terminal, there is plenty of free, unrestricted parking in side streets. We used the ferry for an onward cruise to the Isle of Wight. The hotel is opposite a retail shopping park and within a short drive of amazing little corners of Portsmouth Harbour with much to explore - including fascinating old wrecked boats. The staff at the hotel could not be more friendly and welcoming. The free WI-FI can be slow at times but never actually went down during our six-night stay. The huge car park is free. We'll definitely be back!
We stayed for one night as for a late booking the price was right but upon arrival the exterior was rather dated and dirty. We check in and the staff were amazing making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. But like everyone else this place is in need of a few pennies spending on it, first off the windows do not open in the rooms leaving the smell and odor of the past guests in the air, also the ac didn't work making the room unbearably hot... litteraly waking up countless times because of the heat. The hot water simply didn't work and the cold water wasn't even cold. Pillows had yellow stains on and smelled like a farm yard animal.
