Team members were all very friendly and accommodating. Room looked amazing but is in need of redecorating, massive plaster crack in bathroom ceiling and some marks on the walls. Didn't sleep too well but only because the person above was very heavy footed and enjoyed walking back and forth most of the night.
We didn’t stay at the Premier Inn we went there to enjoy Saturday morning breakfast. We do not pre book and as the restaurant is in a building opposite the hotel we had to first pay the the breakfast in the hotel. The cost was £21.98 for two full breakfast buffets. The staff were very warm and friendly and a pleasure to talk with. My wife and I both enjoyed cereals and toast prior to enjoying a buffet full English breakfast with an orange juice each. There is free refills of hot and cold drinks. There was plenty of choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and pancakes. There was also no limit on the cooked items for your English breakfast. Excellent value for money, plenty of parking should you need it and ideal to start the day if you are visiting Gloucester Quays. My wife also commented how nice and clean the toilets were.
Was excited to stay away from home on a course, seeing as this was paid for by my boss I wouldn't normally write a review, however. The experience wasn't great.nnI arrived Monday night, we were looking forward to our dinner, my friend wanted coffee to which he waited 25 minutes for due to no access to boiled water, we ordered our food which on this night took 40 minutes for starters to arrive and 40 minutes for the main. Not a great start. The food however was cooked to perfection the female chef did brilliantly.nnStruggled to sleep due to noisy air con which was needed as hot.nnBreakfast the following morning was nice although they don't serve fried eggs?nTuesdays meals faired better 30 minute for main and 15 minutes for dessert and was delicious again. In the night I woke up at 3am to go toilet and stubbed my toe on the beds plastic weel the cowling for the wheel was that sharp it split my toe in half no exaggeration, having to tear up an article of clothing to act as a bandage that early was not ideal, the rest of the sleep was shot to say the least.nnWednesday breakfast was fine, asked for fried eggs this time although not fried but baked. Wednesdays dinner was the worst arrived at the restaurant not busy at all took 1 hour from ordering to receive my main and 40 minutes to receive my desert.nThe main big stack burger the bun was burnt, fries where cooked to a crisp the bacon was microwaved I'm convinced nothing like the night before cooked by the female chef.nnNow I'm up in my room writing this review as I went to get a glass of water as a 500ml bottle is £2.10 down stairs and the glass was chipped offering a sharp edge. Let's see how tonight's sleep goes.nnThere are 2 members of staff worth a mention the female chef incredible and the gloustershire woman with brown hair and glasses brilliant host .nnI didn't want to write this, disappointing.
Clean rooms, good location walkable to city center and Gloucester quays although also near a busy road and big box stores, friendly accommodating staff, decent breakfast across the parking lot at Beefeaters. This is a decent, clean, basic business hotel. If you want your room made up you have to ask the front desk but they will gladly do it. I could often hear the person upstairs walking around in the middle of the night, so I wish there was more insulation in the walls. My only real complaint is that the wifi wasn't satisfactory, it was so slow that it didn't work. You have to pay for upgraded decent wifi and that is unacceptable in 2024.
Paid for Premier Plus room. Was advised that ‘there way a problem with the room’ and that we would be in a Standard room. Offered complimentary breakfast and early check in.nnDisappointed as this was not the product we had originally paid for and had already made breakfast plans. Would have appreciated option to change to Premier Plus room should one be available later in the stay.
