The lady who checked us in was very polite, couldn’t fault her! However for a premier In , and from someone who loves them, this one is a let down. The building is old, which is fine, but if you look closer you can tell. It’s a bit dirty and needs a fix up. The corridors are incredibly small. Can not fit 2 people down them. It feels like a maze. The room was a good size. It’s a good thing there was a full size fan, as it feel like you are in a oven and you can not touch the air conditioning. I tried. I woke up in a sweat. This was not a premier inn bed. It was hard and uncomfortable. I was looking forward to it. A big let down. I would recommend staying somewhere else close by.
We stayed here overnight between our 2 days at Longleat. We had a family room for us, our 4 year old, 3 year old, and 10 week old. The room was set up lovely with king-sized bed for us, 2 single beds for the older children and a cot for baby - all beds were clean and comfortable.nWe also had breakfast in the morning which was really good too!nOverall, a decent stay and ideal place to stop for the night. Easy check in. Lovely staff. Clean room. Couldn't fault it. Cheap and cheerful.
Exactly what I would expect from a good, functional hotel. Clean, good service, breakfast buffet very good though the black pudding isn't my taste, it's too pasty but lots of people like it so I can't fault it. The showers are fixed head ones so they are awkward for reasons of thorough washing, but I had the best, most lovely hot bath I've had for ages. Tea and coffee supplies down at reception so help yourself. Having the Beefeater directly linked to the hotel is great for weary travellers and it too was very good, if busy so be sure to book a reservation. It's on a modern industrial site outside Frome, no it hasn't got views or anything like that but the whole site is clean and quiet. It's an excellent choice for business visits, stop overs and for a few days stay for those wanting to explore the general area. We usually use Crowne Plaza, but wouldn't hesitate to use Premier as a good alternative as service and food wise, they are very similar
Friendly staff. Ample parking. Good location. Room was a bit grotty. The bath was mouldy, paint flakes in the bedroom, a slight vomit smell lingered. I stayed on a fairly chilly April day and the room was very warm. It'll be intolerable during the summer months
