The location is ideal and very convenient, and you can see the charm the place once had. There’s clear wear and tear from age throughout the property, and while you don’t expect luxury standards, the overall running of the hotel is simply poor.nnThe team members are genuinely amazing, warm, welcoming, and they really make you feel at home. Unfortunately, good staff can’t make up for operational issues that directly affect guests.nnDinner is advertised as being served until 21:30, but in reality the kitchen closes at 21:00. I was told the chef will not work beyond that time because they are only paid until 21:00. This was extremely disappointing because the main reason I chose this hotel was knowing I would be returning late in the evenings and needed dinner available. I only managed to eat on my arrival night; on the following 3 nights I arrived just after 21:00 and found the kitchen closed and that will be the case again tonight.nnClear communication and basic service consistency are essential. Sadly, despite the friendly team and great location, the hotel is poorly managed and does not deliver what it promises.
Myself and a friend stayed here over night at the weekend. Firstly, there is not a 24 hour reception as stated, nor is there a phone in your room. The lactation is good as only a short walk from station and a hop, skip and jump to the sea. The reception area is tiny and very busy due to one person running between lots of jobs. It took 30 minutes to get checked in. The stairs leading to rooms were quite dusty and a musky smell lingered in the air. Once on the landing, things improved and the level of cleaning also improved. Our rooms were clean but not as clean cut as other premier inns, we have stayed in. The curtain rail was broken and the headboard had seen better days. However, the bed was comfy and the bathroom clean. No coffee available for breakfast “machine broken” a member of staff muttered as she glared at her phone. We also had dinner onsite. The curry was lovely but the chef gave us a frozen sticky toffee pudding as he didn’t realise it should be put in the microwave. The Russian waitress was excellent, and understood customer service but this was not the case for the Sunday morning waiting staff. I won’t be back because our room with meal plan was £160 each and we got very little for that money. Premier inns are usually very good, unfortunately more training needs to be given to some staff here.
Great location near Eastbourne pier. Stayed in a family room. 2 adults and 2 kids. Great room. Great shower. Breakfast was good but could have been better if more items were available no fresh fruit, mushrooms or orange juicennWould stay again tho!
Night staff super friendly. Asked for room with bath that was provided and was given extra towels. Room clean. Comfy bed. Water nice and quick in the bath. Good food and prices and directly in town centre. Sunday free parking and the prices aren't too bad for the tickets. Would come again. Lovely warm rooms Compared with cheaper hotels locally.
It's your typical Premier Inn. It's not the Hilton, but it's also not some shabby hostel. It's perfectly middle of the road, with applicable rates.nnThe hotel is in a convenient location between the train station, shopping centre, and the seafront, our room was clean and spacious, the mattress was firm, the personnel friendly, and the breakfast buffet was fine for the money you spend on it although the coffee wasn't overly great .nnOur room was quite warm though. And then you can turn the airconditioning on, but obviously that's quite loud. So sleeping is either warm but quiet, or cooler but loud. And because of the airconditioning, you can't open up a window either.nnThe pillows are of the kind where 1 of them is too soft, but 2 makes things too bulky. So some firmer pillows would have been welcome, so you only need 1 without risking neck issues.nnAnd finally, is it really necessary that you need your room key card to go through practically every door in the hotel? I understand safety, but this might be overkill.
