Slept for one night in this hotel. When I came back home a noticed some spots on my arm. Checking it further I found several spots over my body. After some research we found out it where bed bugs!! I thought I slept in room 612 but I’m not sue. I’ve slept in hotels all over the world but never ever had bed bugs. I’ve written an email to PremierInn but no response back, so watch out!! Nothing has been done with this yet.
We have been using this hotel for breakfasts most Saturdays since opening.nGoing in last Saturday at 07:30, the usual time, we were greeted by a pleasant lady we’d not seen before who tried to tell us there were no walk ins anymore. This was extremely difficult as she spoke minimum English.nLuckily another member of staff walked past which I believe was the girl’s supervisor.nShe said because it was early we’d be ok THIS TIME.nWe walked in and there was 4 other people in the large restaurant.nNot exactly busy.nWe left 50 minutes later and there was around 8 people in.nIt’s a shame because it’s an excellent hotel with usually friendly, helpful service. But I’d not seen these members of staff before.nnWe’ll make other arrangements now as it seems we are not welcome unless we are staying.nThere’s another Premier Inn a short drive away with free parking unlike this one.nWe’ll try there next Saturday.nThey can have our £33 every week instead.
Well located for central Banbury with nice views over the canal. Rooms are exactly what you’d expect from a premier inn, clean, comfortable and quiet. We found breakfast was the usual high standard but might have benefitted from an extra cook to speed up service. Banbury is a lovely small town with good rail links to Oxford. There is no parking but the quayside is very reasonably priced and next door so not a problem.
Love a Premier Inn great experience great comfy bed and extra pillows quiet . Great cooked breakfast. Easy parking easy check in, parking was in South Quay car park and from 3 30pm Saturday to Sunday at 11am, less than £5.
Booked on line for payment on arrival. Arrived a little earlier than 3pm and enquired if the room was ready to drop bags and continue christmas shopping without having to pop back but were told the room was ready but it would cost an extra £10. We decided to go back 45mins later at 3pm check in time.nWhen we tried to pay £59 with cash it was refused because we didn't have photo ID. I've since checked and you have to do quite a lot of reading to find that detail in their terms and conditions. Perhaps making the point more clearly visible may help.nLastly, while the room was clean we were left no towels at all. Just a bath mat !!!!!!!nI have stayed in many Premier Inns but this was definitely not one I would recommend. Shame.
