The food is very good indeed, in fact some of the best Italian food I’ve had in some time. The staff are very attentive but they just need to smile a bit more and engage with the customer, look like your enjoying guys it makes a real difference. I was extremely disappointed to see 15% gratuity added to the bill, we don’t do that up north guys that’s what they do in London. If you’ve smiled and engaged with me I’ll add a tip.
Nice clean restaurant/hotel in the centre of Brighouse on the bank of the Leeds/Liverpool canal. We went for 'early doors' and had 2 courses for £14 approx. Food was largely Italian but was good quality, plentiful and hot. Staff were friendly and efficient.
The bad breakfast was the bugbear really. The hot selection was not nice. Sausages were obviously deep fried and left to keep warm over a candle. Cold, hard, poor quality and old. Bacon all congealed and stuck together.My scrambled eggs came in a lovely bath of oil which was horrid. The accommodation is lovely and clean, the food in the restaurant is lovely, but the reception staff and waiting staff are obviously not trained in customer service., but obviously in avoiding eye contact with paying guests. The exception to the rule here are the two lovely experienced waiters working in Pregos. After having 10 + overnight stays here, 2. X 50th parties and a 21st celebration, sadly this has been our last visit here.
Great service, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Good food quickly prepared and served but not rushed. Very good value. Really enjoyed the experience which was a combined birthday and anniversary treat- although we didn't tell the staff that until the end!
My wife booked a surprise 40th here and I must say the venue was perfect the staff could not have been better. The kids play area was appreciated by all the parents amongst us, and allowed for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. The food was great and I personally thought all the staff performed remarkably considering how busy the place was. We had 40 guests and they managed comfortably to seat us together. Thank you
First of all its really really noisy. Only one waitress was nice and welcoming and is the only reason for two stars and not one. Starters of calamari and prawns were undercooked and didnt really have any taste like no spices were used. Mains were very average in taste but the amount of fat on the plate left when we finished... it was just discusting. Definitely wont come back especially that they are pricey and there are two really amazing italian restaurants in huddersfield.
I wanted to like this place. It's not very cosy and there's a lot of hard surfaces so it was noisy. The starter was okay, but the Pepperoni pizza was not to my liking. Too much cheese and the cheese wasnt properly melted. The taste was okay but it was quite watery really which is not what you want from a pizza..it was thin but it wasn't crispy. I think it could have been cooked for longer. The dessert menu was quite poor. It didn't have a great deal of Italian desserts. There's better italian restaurants, and to be honest it might have been the worst pizza I've had...it makes dominos pizzas seem like the best there is.
Haven't been to Prego's for a long time, but decided to hold an old works reunion. So glad we did. Not rushed to eat up quickly which I have found at other Italian restaurants. We were all very happy with the meals we chose. Dam good evening and surroundings.
What a gem of a place. Food is lovely and very reasonable. On Sunday they have a section for children which has games, face painting, movies and dressing up clothes all to keep children occupied. This seemed very popular. The staff are very friendly and there is a nice atmosphere
Top class service and food. We arrived on time and were shown to the little bar area where we had a pre meal drink. All the food was very very good and we sat there until almost everybody had gone and nobody tried to usher us out. A lovely evening definitely to be repeated.
