We have been loyal customers of Pra Thai for several years now. The food has always been excellent and the staff have always been lovely when we do in-person take aways. The reason for this one star review is the absolute lack of help from the restaurant when our recent order via Deliveroo went astray. While we understand that this is the fault of the Deliveroo driver, the restaurant still made money off our order. And yet their response to our query was to shut us down entirely, rather than endeavour to resolve the issue. They were unhelpful and truculent on the phone, and I’m afraid have thoroughly put us off ordering in the future.
I’ve been eating at pra Thai for a couple of years now and I use to love the food. Today I decided to treat myself and pick up a take away. I ordered a green curry which was really nice and a papaya salad which was awful. I’ve ordered it many times but this time it was not it. I called and asked if something can be done I don’t mind to pick up something else, or even just a discount for my next order. Mind you papaya salad is 9.50. They where very busy and I did feel bad for the woman who had to take my call but they said that there is nothing to do and when I asked for the manager she said there is nothing to do and hung up. Really disappointed.
It's a nice place, cozy, romantic atmosphere. The food is absolutely tasty and very well presented, good portions and affordable prices. I'm just giving 4 stars as I didn't find the costumer service the best. The staff were nice and polite but felt like they weren't giving much attention to the costumers as we had to wait sometimes until find someone of the staff because they most of the time inside where the costumers can't go and we could hear a lot of chatting and giggling. Apart from that highly recommended.
Fabulous service, totally attentive to our needs with 2 young children. Only one high chair available but elder child was given a few cushions to allow her to sit comfortably on an adult chair. Half of our party were vegetarian, staff always checked to make sure any dishes ordered did not contain fish sauce. A lovely red curry for my 2yr old came with extra coconut milk on the side in case she found it spicy! Its these little service touches that make the biggest difference. Som tam papaya salad was great, as were the veggie gyoza. Mixed meat platter was tasty and very good portion size. The only dish we didn't enjoy as much was the pad thai. Will definitely visit again 4.5 stars from us.
Really not great. Waited a long time while ordering via just eat. Massanan especially average. I have included a photo of the thai beef salad — which was abysmal
Incredibly attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was very good overall! The mixed platter was excellent and the coconut rice was just glutinous enough to complement the curries perfectly. However the red Thai and panang curries were almost indistinguishable in flavour, though both were good. I will be visiting again!
I have to share my experience with you as I’m shocked and quite honestly discussed by the owners attitude Pra Thai . I ordered a Green curry which tasted so bad that i could not eat it . I usually love this dish and thought I would try it here ! The chicken was not fresh , it was not even green but yellow it was disgusting the worst I’ve ever had . The lady at reception Loreen was incredible so helpful and apologetic. However when she tried to replace My dish with an alternative the owner said no , only to refund me for my curry ! I was then left with sticky rice by its self to eat . To be honest I didn’t want to eat another dish from them as the first was sooooooo bad but the owners lack of customer care and acknowledgment was shocking ! I will never eat there again ! The food is vile ! And not at all authentic it’s an insult to Thai cuisine .
We visited them when we were vacationing in London and loved their food, so when we came back and my aunt who lives close by had her birthday I ordered more food from them to deliver to my aunt. They made the whole process so easy and never worried about getting paid with my American card and just went all out to help me and even sent a note to my aunt wishing her for her birthday. Beautiful people and above all terrific food we ordered the seafood combo with pepper corn, Penang with chicken, tom kha soup and Papaya salad . Everything was terrific and their portions were great too . Would absolutely visit them again and love that they are such great humans

We had the most amazing food at Pra Thai and the hospitality the waiting staff showed us was top class. We truly felt like we stepped into Thailand, the interior is very authentic, all of the staff were extremely friendly, and we also found the food to be rich in flavour, broad in options, and all done to great standards. I was with two friends who were all singing the praises of this place when we left and reminded me to leave a review. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for delicious Asian cuisine in North London. Thanks to the staff for being so attentive to us and will see you again!
