Love calm place to walk round, pleased to find the cafe open for take away food and drink .
Open at the moment to Yorkshire wildlife trust members but will soon be taking timed visit slots. Check the website. Our visit was on a chilly Misty day and was nice to see the area in a different light. Excellent walk along the red route. Back in time for a coffee and cake in the cafe. All COVID safe
Went late afternoon when the sun was going down. Staff were really helpful. Advised us to take a map of take a photo of it. Spent 2 and a half hours having a fantastic walk around it. Don't be put off by the location near a motorway. Will go back.
Love this place. Great for walks, plenty of wildlife and if you like trains a lot of old railway lines and passing trains on the national network! Food is good from the cafe as well.
Great place to visit for all ages. The staff are friendly and helpful and there are different walks so something to suit everyone. We have taken the pushchair on a couple of routes so definitely pushchair friendly.
Good walk around reserve. Some hides were open. Lovely cafe and toilets were available.
We have been here a number of times and always see something interesting. Today we saw roe deer, heron, egret, marsh harrier and most exciting of all a grass snake swimming in the river. All this just a short way from the motorway.
Lovely place, cant believe I didnt know about it until this week. Lovely walk & plenty of wildlife to see.
Not much wildlife to see at this time of year. Nov need to go a few times to get your bearings for the different colour coded walks.
