Issue with using English stamps to post to Europe and issue with proof of postage. Inconsistent depending on what day you're there. I hand over the attendant a envelope addressed Spain and ask for a proof of postage. Lady says: you cant use English stamps to post to Spain, you need cash stamps or special Spanish stamps. Reply: I've send weekly to Spain and Europe, with those exact stamps and they arrive; the values add up to the required amount. Lady says: Well I cant issue you a proof of postage for items that are going out of the UK. Reply: Just yesterday, at this same counter, the attendant printed me a Spanish proof of postage along with others, no problem. Attendant: Who served you? Reply: the lady here Attendant: one sec (goes to a colleague to talk and comes back) nope that didn't happen (she was calling me a liar?!) Reply: the postage is correct, what the issue? it adds to £1.25 which is international standard for Europe small letter. Attendant: well if you think it's fine, I'm going to ask you to put it in the box outside. Reply: No other post office on the Island or in the UK, that I've used, has this problem, I'll take it to a different post office. (I leave, realise I have the Spanish proof of postage from yesterday and decide to show her that it happened, so she can stop implying I'm lying; I go back to the counter and hand her it) Attendant: Just because you got one, doesn't mean I'll do it. (looks at it, takes it to colleague and returns with colleague) Attendant: well I don't know how they've done that, who's done that, who's initials are those? Colleague: oh that must be the one who is new, we must tell her she cant do this. Reply: Every post office on the island, prints me a proof of postage for Spain, just like this, why is this any different? Attendant: well fine, please go to a different post office, there's one just down the road. (leave and go down the road to the clock tower post office) Hand them it and ask for proof of postage Lady: sure, is that the house number? (prints) here you go Reply: thank you very much Worst Royal Mail encounter ever!

The phone number is useless. Got cut off twice after being redirected three times.The message starts about pensions. Thought this way supposed to be about our Royal Mail? Think they are more interested in signing you up to financial services these days than delivering mail. Cannot fault the staff at this branch always cheerful and helpful. WHY is there not an 01795 number for the branch?

Collection area cold and dirty not not a great space for waiting for parcels very long wait and only one member of staff working...

Visited callers office; efficient polite staff. Alleyway is disgusting.Full of pigeons and droppings. Bowl of water was there, perhaps they are pets! Health hazard if you ask me. One could transfer it on footwear into the car or house.
