I don’t understand all these 1 star reviews. I’m at this post office very often and never experienced rude behaviour from the staff. They are always friendly and helpful. Yes sometimes there are queues, but not so often and not so bad.
Absolutely shocking customer service. That guy behind the desk must go: He's rude, abusive and lied to my face. Others I can see have commented on him before so I'm glad I'm not alone. It's actually impressive how they can make going to the post office such a dreaded experience.
Most inefficient service ever. Saturday afternoon and the queue is massive. 1 person on stay. Made my friend pay for an envelope she didn’t need because they told her she needed to “prepay” for it, but then said she’s using the “special delivery” so she got a free envelope anyway and couldn’t use the ones she bought.
12 Jan 23 - accepts UK postage items only. Bizarre. Never experienced that before at a post office. Beginning of end type experience
Awful, terrible customer service. John who works there should not be in this position. Down right rude and disgusting behaviour. Will argue and talk back to customers. Shrugs his shoulders. He should loose his job with immediate effect. John if you are reading this. Go find a job that is faceless. Even then I’m sure you would find a way to be rude to people. It’s clear you hate your job. So maybe go retire.
I am at this Post Office at least once a week and the staff there are always so helpful and pleasant and I work really hard. Between them they work well as a team and although they would benefit from another member of staff, obviously they don’t have that choice and they all work extremely hard to keep everything running efficiently.
This was a quick and pleasant experience - unlike my visits to every other post office in the area - but I suspect that this was because it was before 10am, there were very few customers, and the few visible staff were therefore able to cope. A confusing system of queue channels separates the self service from the counter services. I spoke with a nice elderly woman behind the counter who dealt with me kindly and efficiently. Make sure you go at a non-peak time, and it isn't bad at all.
After buying postage online, printing and applying the label to my parcel I headed towards the Royal Mail office for the “drop off”. I had to wait 15 minutes on the downstairs queue and then I managed to enter the actual office. There was just one open office and a 15 person queue. I asked the lady who was guiding people towards the queue: I just need to drop the parcel, do I need to sit in the queue? She answered: yes you do. The stupidity of the current system seem straight out of a Monty Python movie. I won’t be using Royal Mail anytime soon!
The post office is great. Staff are friendly. , supportive and caring
Had nothing but great service at this office. I find most reviews here on google laughable, people complaining about wait times & having to queue during covid or not being able to resolve compex customer service postal service complaints. These people do a difficult job, with angry customers every hour of every day. Ithink they deserve better than googles current rating
