I've been using this post office for years because the closest one has an even worse staff. I have to drive like half an hour to use this post office. The owners of this place are very rude and I took it because I didn't have much options but in recent times it has gone even worse and I'll be looking for other places after today because it was the last drop. I get it, they don't make money on prepaid labels, the owner already gave me an earful during quarantine about this even though it was national recommendation to use the click & drop. Today the woman was going to take my parcel but then saw the label and used the royal mail strike as excuse to not take my parcel, I had already read the limitations of the strike online: "Post Offices will be open and offering the usual range of services on days when strike action is taking place. On all days of Royal Mail strike action, collections by Royal Mail from Post Offices will be limited", and I know they can deny your mail if they're full clearly they were not since she was going to take it at first. Instead, I was told they couldn't accept prepaid due to the strike, and that I could come back tomorrow or go to the delivery office to drop it...ehmm... the delivery office is closed because of the strike... Lying much? Also, very selfish to assume that everyone has the time or they live close enough to go back any time. I wonder what excuse I would be given if I went tomorrow... I've read other comments here about their issue with prepaid labels, I would prefer they put a sign outside, but I imagine they're not allowed because of their contract with Post Office so they're just rude instead.
I went in to the store this morning to add credit to my incapacitated brother’s electric meter. I had my own ID but not my brother’s. The last time I did this I wasn’t asked for any ID whatsoever so didn’t think this would be a problem. I went to the very same girl that dealt with me on the earlier occasion but this time she insisted that I had to have ID for my bother. I said that she hadn’t wanted this before but she point blank denied that she would have done this. I should have left it at that but maintained that it was her and she had indeed accepted the transaction without proof of ID. At this point I was told that they were refusing to deal with me and I should go to another PO. Rude, surly, arrogant. How are this family allowed to continue to serve the people of Ross in this distasteful manner?
Rude service. I was directed from the bank to the post office regarding the cashing of the check, but unfortunately the post office does not deal with it and informs about it in a very unpleasant way.
Told today that l can't take pre paid parcels to the Maltings Post Office in Ross on Wye and l will have to take them to the sorting office outside Ross Town centre. About a mile walk, l am 67 and why should l have to. I think this is discrimination. There were other people in the queue with prepaid parcel being told the same. Is this a Royal Mail policy or just this particular Post Office. Yet another black mark for customer sevice. I only ever post small packet size, it's not as though it's taking up a lot of space.
The Indian guy was so rude and insulting. The Lady indian was backing him up despite there was an error in their part the first time. I asked for a supervisor and she told me “we own the place whats your concern” in a rude and arrogant tone. They know they dont have any competition nearby that is why they are confidently arrogant to their customers for they know we dont have any other choice. It even resorted to this line “ if you are not happy with this post office go somewhere else” that is the worst customer service ever. I dont want to be racist but i know some indians and they are not like that.
Like everyone else here is saying. Quite literally the worst post office to attempt to use! Rude staff and wont accept some parcels. How they havent been shut down is beyond me.
We ship between 50-100 parcels and large letters every month all over the world. Every time we use this post office there is always a problem. Not the right size is the main thing. Never had any problem with any of the other post office we use. Also they have said recently that the postage on a pre paid return sticker was not paid so had to pay. Now I checked this when I got home and found out it was already paid for. If you can get to Hereford post office or another local one they are much better.
Probably the least helpful, rudest place ever. Nice shop, that's all you can say. Everyone encountered in here behave like they are doing you a favour, the counter person today was so rude and obviously didn't know what she was doing, but her attitude to me was as if her error was my fault. I won't go again, I'd rather drive miles than ever set foot in this hostile place.
Could not get my bike road tax online for some reason. Went to the post office in Ross. Great friendly and helpful response. Sorted in no time. So appreciative of the service.
No customer service. No professionalism. No respect This is my local postoffice and I come here regularly to send off my returns and deposit money into my account regularly. Chakir which is one of the male staff members was completely disrespectful and rude this morning. He doesn’t know how to communicate when being asked to, he showed aggression towards me to the point I’ve had to write a formal complain to the post office. Refused to apologies for his antisocial behaviour. After this I will not longer be bringing my business there. And will spread the word as much as I can. Nobody needs to be treated that way at 8am in the morning. If you have to travel a little extra to the next post office I suggest you do so!
