My experiences here have been always positive. Post office is above WHS Smith. Staff is kind and helpful, so I like to come to this post office. On Christmas there was a nice lady to help you with the checkout kiosks. It can get busy sometimes.
Visited on Friday 20th September 2024, one person Chinese guy working behind the counter, with serious attitude problem. 8 other people behind me, 7 before me waiting to be served. After waiting for almost 10 minutes, when he FINALLY served me, he sighed heavily as i was finding the money to pay a bill, as if i was the one holding HIM up. He seemed to find it an inconvenience that i didn't have the correct change to pay the bill, and tutted and muttered something under his breath as he slammed my change down on the counter, and seemed annoyed that i had to wait to get a receipt before i left. I work in retail and, i understand how frustrating it can be sometimes, but this person's attitude was completely unacceptable. Definitely WILL NOT be using this Post Office again.
OK service everything you need very pleasant staff very helpful but need more staff especially for busy times with my past experience!Be advised they no longer do the International driving permits very disappointed!
The staff are not well aware of different options for sending international parcels. They also don't seem to make any effort to help the customers unfortunately. They need more training or an experienced supervisor.
Well placed on the first floor above a newsagents. Spacious and modern with good signage. But very understaffed. There are enough counters but only one was staffed and the queue was huge. The travel money kiosk was directed towards this sole member of staff as well. OK if someone was buying a stamp but then someone asked to renew a driving licence! The staff member was doing his best in impossible circumstances.
As someone who relies on efficient postal services, I recently visited this poste with high hopes. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The customer service was abysmal, to say the least. It felt like the staff were doing me a favor by simply acknowledging my presence. Upon entering, instead of a warm greeting, I was met with indifference bordering on rudeness. It was evident that the employees lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. Their demeanor made it seem as though customers were an inconvenience rather than the lifeblood of their business. Moreover, the way they handled inquiries and requests was appalling. It felt as though I was being interrogated rather than assisted. Their tone was dismissive, and they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them with my presence. Furthermore, a simple smile seemed to be an impossible task for the staff. It's as if they were trained to maintain a permanent scowl. Basic communication skills were sorely lacking, making interactions uncomfortable and unproductive. In conclusion, my visit was a disheartening experience. The lack of respect and basic customer service etiquette was profoundly disappointing. It's imperative for the management to address these issues promptly if they wish to retain customers and uphold a positive reputation in the community.
Visited at 2.30pm on a Saturday 24th. There was a big queue at the counter so I went to self service. All was fine but when it came to getting a receipt, I had an alert saying I needed to wait for assistance for someone to collect the parcel large letter. I waited but obviously no one could come. Waited for 10 minutes but no movement and only one person on counter serving snake of people. I had paid for the postage…so I just posted it and now hoping for the best. The tracking is showing posted but there’s no actual label on it aside from the signed for sticker. Hopefully RM can use some common sense and deliver my parcel. Won’t be using this post office again!
Massive post office with only one person serving. There are lots of self service machines but the box to put parcels in is tiny so if you have a larger parcel to send you can’t use them. Staff also rude.
Needed a new passport and there are not many places where you can go and get it sorted, some major post offices and maybe online.I took a chance and went to Mell Square . The upstairs in WH Smith is the home of Post Office. I was met by very helpfull staff who within 10 minutes had processed my application, including taking my photo and sorting out one or 2 tricky questions. Service here with a smile too. Passport's are around £82 and another £16 for the post office service ,which sorts out photos and does most of the paper work for you. My new passport arrived 11 days later . Wonderfull and professional service . Deserves 5 stars.
I've visited this post office a couple of times now and every time it has not been a pleasant one. Take Friday just gone, I went before work in the morning as Google says hours of work start at 8.30 am. Nope nobody there lights out and a small sign at the desk saying opening hours are 9 am. Please get this changed on Google. I then returned the same day at 11.30 am, a massive queue with only one assistant serving. She looked so fed up dealing with her customer having to go away at least 3 times to check something. I waited for a further 30 mins and gave up in the end. It was taking just too long. Please sort this out before you lose more customers. Can't see myself returning.
