Never left a bad review anywhere previously, however after the experience I had at this Post Office I feel compelled to do so. Purely as I don't want anyone else to feel the same way as i did. The Customer service from the ladies working in the Post office dealing with parcels etc is sadly appalling. I requested help with returning something, had some issues in doing so not their fault however, when I proceeded to ask for some support on what to do next, I was met with pure rudeness. Some extra training is needed in this department, we're all human. It doesn't cost a penny to be nice.
I've visited twice recently, once on a Monday and once on a Friday. Queues move quickly, the attendants are polite, service is swift, and two errands I thought would take half the day I usually go to my local post office in Letchworth took minutes. Worth the short drive over to Hitchin every time.
Sending a parcel shouldn’t be this painful! Staff need serious retraining in both customer care and the tech they use. I have now paid three times to send a parcel for next day delivery and it is currently lost in the system after being returned to me twice. Incorrect labels being printed. Labels printed upside down with barcode unreadable. I don’t know how to get a refund - they don’t make this easy although happy to keep taking my money. If you really need to get something sent urgently for guaranteed delivery - DO NOT USE these guys!
They are all generally bored and unamused apart from the woman in till 3 who is always great! but the location is brilliant! Also, they offer pretty much all of the post office services so 4 stars from me as I always managed to do everything I needed.
Very very rude.Greeted with “what do you want”. Not told that delivery's of parcels are to be collected from Stevenage. Regardless of having an email saying collect from Hitchin. Told to sort it out myself. Very unprofessional.Not friendly or helpful. Left me feeling low in mood and going forward.avoid going into Hitchin Brokers post office.

Very unhelpful miserable looking grumpy staff that never smiles. I have used this post office for 20 years but always feel the same- I wish I never have to go there half ruins my afternoon. Avoid if you can - Highbury road post office people are lovely I will be using them in future
We used the passport digital service it's brilliant all you need is your passport they do the rest they even take your photo brilliant. Will be back for my other 2 excellent customer service
Really disappointing customer service. The fact that my parcel that I was due to collect wasn't actually with them even though the postman's red form put through my door said it could be collected from them today was due to the postman 'not doing their job properly'! Nothing to do with Brookers! I can assure you that my postman does an incredibly good job and is very professional unlike the counter staff at Brookers. Judging by the reviews I think it's time the Post Office used someone else to service their clients. The staff at the Highbury Road Branch are always incredibly friendly and professional.
Seamless driving licence renewal and change of address. Really impressed with the service and timely renewal.
