Like all train stations it's as good or bad as you find it on the day. My wife and I don't travel on the trains very often so we wouldn't consider ourselves experts about british rail. But we think this one is okay. Any staff we had contact with were helpful and friendly enough. Short walk to the centre of portsmouth.

Not a fan of public transport but as it goes train station is OK. Trains are clean .it s the gang running the show that let it down. Throwing young kids off at remote staion cos they lost there phone and ticket .who do you think you are southwest trains may I add it was dark and they were 12 years old two venerable girls told they was lieing and kicked off at Rowlands castle they were crying and couldn't phone there worrying mother .now seriously let's break this up .you throw 2 girls off train at a place that a train comes through every hour .so how did they get home waited for another train got on that .so my point is that was there any point putting 2 girls in danger?seriously sort your staff out southwest any child under 16 should be allowed to finish the journey with or with out a ticket cos it's the right thing to do see them safe home .think of the paper head lines southwest kick 2 girls off at remote station now there missing it would be all your fault so I sergest you leave them kids alone .train wankers .

Bit grim if i am honest, very little reason to be here unless waiting for train needs modernisation or a return to victorian grandeur but at the moment it is the worst of both worlds
