The food is always beautiful here every time we go, so we were delighted to get a table on Saturday just before Christmas. The place was full on arriving so we were very lucky to have reserved a table right by the window with all the decorations which were lovely. All our meals were just perfect and the service was fabulous. After our meal we relaxed with our drinks in the Prego Bar which is attached. A big thank you & a Happy New Year 2018 to you all. A lovely meal, they did well to cater to such a large group in the time they took. Wine selection was decent, and the food was as authentic as you're like to find in the area. Floor space is slightly cramped during a busy service but that's to be expected.
We have being here now on several occasions and we can not fault. The food is excellent with an extensive Italian menu that's caters for all. The hospitality and service is first class and we are always made to feel very welcome by an experienced resturanter.
Great restaurant just really really slow service. Food is to die for but on busy nights like it was tonight there should have been more staff. More than 90 minutes for a starter isn't the best but overall I would use the place again.
A great place with fantastic food. Ideal for large groups / families. Cater for kids too. A brilliant atmosphere with great Italian food. Attached to the restaurant is the Prego Bar, ideal for an after dinner tipple!
Recently had a party for 44 guests to celebrate a 70th birthday and 25th anniversary. Simon, and staff were brilliant with our every need accommodated. Room decoration was fabulous and the food, in the form of a hot sit down buffet, was superb as always. We came to Portabellos last night for a Valentines meal and we were very disappointed we have been to Portabellos on a number of occassions birthday for me twice and my daughters birthday and my husbands birthday and other occassions with the girls at work and have always been really pleased with the food infact we can never fault it! But last night want good the choice wasnt very good and for the price we expected a bit more choice i decided on the Lamb Shank which was ok but the mash potatoe was horrible it was instant mash you could taste the powder and was very dry! Never once was we asked if meal was ok all they seem to want to do is to get you finished and out the door for the next people to come in!! Very dissapointing wont be going back! We went to valentine night last year and really enjoyed it!

We came here for our Christmas Day meal and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a really lovely time.
Took a party of 20 people here last night.excellent service and excellent food as always.been going here for a few years now never been disappointed.overall a very nice evening and highly recomended.tank you to you all
