Lovely restaurant with fantastic food. We found the prices very similar to other areas in Windermere but the quality was so much better! The Cumbrian Lamb is a must, and they had some delicious prosecco-based cocktails for £8. Recommend booking ahead though as it's not a huge place and gets filled up quickly ahead of time!
Delicious! Simple food done very very well. Recommend the risotto and the lamb, as well as the non alcoholic cocktails!!
Food was wonderful and a good choice of options for vegetarians/meat/fish eaters. Our only issue was poor service despite the restaurant not appearing busy. Cutlery did not come with starters or with the main course and had to be requested multiple times. Condiments were not offered and also had to be requested several times.
The food was outstanding. Really top notch. Its true that you get what you pay for. The scallops to start were amazing, the steak and the lamb were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back next time we visit Bowness.
