When we arrived the station was very quiet. Clean toilets. Stairs to exit platforms and I believe there are also lifts.
An easy station to use with only inbound and outbound, consisting of only 2 lines.nnThis train station is pretty lifeless in my opinion, with only 1 cafe that does not seem to be open on a Sunday.nnThe facilties were quite clean considering, but I was very annoyed that the waiting rooms were not opening. Especially how cold it is ...nnSince its had its refurb its quickly become quite tatty and in my opinion abit of an eyesore.
UPDATED 2022: So, first time back in 4 years and it’s a good experience. The cafe was open, staff on the cafe and the ticket booth friendly. All in all, good experience.nn2018: First experience of PTP this morning. The station looks good, they need to finish the roads though and the car park looks like an afterthought. I was also directed onto the wrong train, luckily it was going in the right direction so I doubt the station conductor realised what he was doing. Friendly though.
Portalbot Parkway is an Island Platform with Accessible Bridge from street level there are lifts to Platforms, it's a short distance form the Town Centre and Rugby Ground!
Access by steps or lifts, with ticket office and cafe on the gantry. The cafe isn't all day, but open for peak travel times, serving good choices of coffee, tea, snacks and cakes etc.
