nice station, my local, very easy to navigate, ticket office open during peak times, nice cafe too. only 2 platforms, one east bound cardiff, london, manchester etc and one west bound swansea/carmarthen etc. my only complaint is that the station stinks of pee so bad, its on the stairs every day i go there i think theres a few homeless people who sleep here overnight and they just have to piss on the floor, and it never gets cleaned or mopped. i need this sorted out cuz its really unpleasant and is the only thing keeping this station from 5/5
UPDATED 2022: So, first time back in 4 years and it’s a good experience. The cafe was open, staff on the cafe and the ticket booth friendly. All in all, good experience.nn2018: First experience of PTP this morning. The station looks good, they need to finish the roads though and the car park looks like an afterthought. I was also directed onto the wrong train, luckily it was going in the right direction so I doubt the station conductor realised what he was doing. Friendly though.
An easy station to use with only inbound and outbound, consisting of only 2 lines.nnThis train station is pretty lifeless in my opinion, with only 1 cafe that does not seem to be open on a Sunday.nnThe facilties were quite clean considering, but I was very annoyed that the waiting rooms were not opening. Especially how cold it is ...nnSince its had its refurb its quickly become quite tatty and in my opinion abit of an eyesore.
Very handy station. Just off the M4 with plenty of parking and trains straight to London. Easier than going into Swansea and cheaper parking
Terrible customer service, lift out of order with no sign, the toilets inside were locked & looked very dirty. Will definitely not be coming here ever again.
