Great place to go to for a day out. Learn about the history of Port Sunlight at the Museum.
As far as the entrance goes, this must surely rank as one of the most picturesque and quaintest stations in the entire country, immediately adjacent to a wonderful bowling green and the quintessentially English village of Port Sunlight. The southbound platform, as the name suggests, is a real suntrap on a summer's day, but less inviting in winter as the shelter is narrow and completely open on one side. Access via stairs only to platforms.
Train station on the Merseyrail network . Services every 15 mins during the daytime Monday to Saturday to Chester. Six trains an hour to Liverpool Monday to Saturday daytime. Unfortunately the station isn't wheelchair accessible just yet but maybe in the future. The station does have a toilet which is fully accessible.
Wonderful walk through the rose gardens, Warwickshire Memorial & past museum. Lovely Hillsborough memorial garden & walk through the dell & around Port Sunlight village.
