Really nice chippy, the food is tasty. One thing that stands out however, is the views from the window. Incredible! Well worth a visit just for the views alone. If the restaurant is full, there's always the option to take out and sit outside on the bench too!
Very busy. And for a good reason. Food is lovely. Fish and chips spot on. peas and gravy yummy. Good service. Definitely worth a visit. Good views on a clear day.
Great place to eat in with a family, seating for four people at every table. Prices reasonable with a good choice of meals or you can combine to make your own. Pretty standard chips etc but service superb.
We've been coming to the IOM for 35 years, and we finally made it to Port Jack Chippy! Parked just over the road. Very friendly service despite it being super busy. A table in the window overlooking the sea & our curry and chips brought to us within about 3 minutes. Good chips, and two types of curry sauce normal and Chinese. Only taking a point off cos there were very few veggie options & it did seem quite pricey: £3.95 for chips and £1.90 for sauce. Mind you, everything is expensive these days
Plenty of parking on the main and side road for up to two hours. I’ve added photos of the eat in menu, the regular cod, chips and mushy peas and the building and view from over the road. Orders are placed at the till and paid for at time of ordering. You need to collect your own cutlery, napkins and tartare sauce and other condiments. Salt, pepper and vinegar are on each table. Our nice and strong teas came out quickly followed by our food after only a few minutes of waiting. Most impressive speed and everything was extremely hot! Some chips crispy, others chewy. Portion size is very ample and satisfying for my large appetite. Crispy batter especially either end of the cod. It wasn’t the best fish and chips I’ve eaten, but certainly no where near the worse either.
Very expensive, poor quality. Sausages were poor, tasted odd, and had a whiff of perfume, can only think that was off the highly polished birds serving me ... a dozen chips, luke warm disinterested staff, 15 quid for 2 saus and chips and cold lumpy sauces? Nah.... can get a Chinese for that, freshly cooked. Won't be back
What a lovely place...busy, but the staff and the manager were really nice and took the time to be extra nice...makes a big difference in todays world...the free mozzerella sticks and dip went down a treat...thankyou...SueFood: 5/5
Nice chippy good food, can be very busy at times which proves the food is good. Staff helpful would recommend. Just across the road are some benches where you can sit and eat, the views are lovely on a nice day. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare if all the spaces across the road are full .
Good fish and chips shop. Always go at least once when on the Isle of Man. It is great for the whole family and it is reasonably priced. The usual on the menu in that type or restaurant. The staff is friendly. The views of the sea are great in the day. It is nice to park near the Gaiety Theatre and walk all the way back to help digestion!
Very friendly and the food is very nice and we do recommend to anyone to eat there when visiting the isle of man
